EDIT: (Sorry, I don't have before and after screenshots of every weapon in the pack.)

Description

This is a high resolution weapons pack for Mass Effect 3 which includes the following weapons:

  • M8 Avenger
  • M11 Suppressor (Requires Citadel DLC)
  • M15 Vindicator
  • M96 Mattock
  • N7 Crusader
  • N7 Eagle
  • N7 Hurricane
  • N7 Piranha
  • N7 Valkyrie
  • N7 Valiant

The pack is comprised of individual TPF (or .mem) files so you can install them separately and thus not use individual weapons mods for whatever reason. Artistic style varies, and everyone has personal preferences. There are excellent alternatives to some of these weapon mods and that's the reason why they are supplied individually rather than creating a bulk pack with all the files in one.

The Eagle and Piranha are included in ALOT, however those versions have been supplanted by these. The Eagle and Piranha supplied here are vastly different from the ones included in ALOT today. I think, but cannot confirm but I believe the texture used in ALOT for the Mattock is mine as well, but its hard to tell as I don't have the original .PSD file for that anymore. However, again that version has been replaced by this one. If you downloaded the M11 Suppressor from the BSN I did, understand that its considerably different than the one supplied here and this one is much better I'm sure you'd agree. Its the same story with the M8 Avenger, which is considerably different than the older versions I've released in the past.

I packaged this as a .TPF file for use with Texmod and or ME3Explorer. All files are in the correct format to use with ME3Explorer so no conversions should be necessary. For the first time, I'm supplying .MEM versions of the mods as well. More on that below.

Mod Compatibility Considerations
There is one compatibility issue I know of and that's with the Carnifex4Predator mod which is a DLC type mod that replaces all instances of the M3 Predator with the model and texture of the M6 Carnifex, M77 Paladin, Eagle, or Phalanx pistols. This was done to swap out the M3 Predator in cut scenes where it shouldn't appear. This makes sense given that the codex is clear on the point about the Predator not being a military issue weapon. For some reason, I've never been able to get the textures in this mod to update so any instance where it appears will show the crappy stock M6 Carnifex texture or other stock textures if you swap the Carnifex out for any of the other options. I've tried to add this DLC to the tree and modify it, but its never worked and always crashes on me so there isn't anything I can do about it at this point. If anyone knows how to correct this, please PM me as I'd really like to know how to fix that.

One other note: You may or may not notice that the integrated scopes are present in the screenshots for the M15 Vindicator, M96 Mattock and M8 Avenger. This is because I'm using a mod that re-adds these to the mesh. My mod pack does not do that, but as you can see they texture the re-added scopes perfectly. :)

Known Issues
Users of EGM and ME3Recalibrated may notice that the improved textures will not necessarily appear correctly on the mod bench found on the Normandy. Even after adding the DLC folders to the tree, I wasn't always able to get the correct versions to show on that mod bench. Every other mod bench that appears in the game seems to work correctly, so I am uncertain what the issue with that is. Everywhere else and on missions, these textures should work correctly. After doing some troubleshooting with CreeperLava, I found out that using MEM for installation of the textures corrects this issue and in my experience, everything works perfectly using this method. This is why I'm supplying .MEM versions and recommend using those over the traditional .TPF files. You can also do the conversions yourself if you like.

Those of you who know my work may have guessed I usually hate the color changing feature ME3's mod system uses for some of the weapons. The feature is a double edged sword in that its cool with some mods and terrible with others. In cases where the changes to the textures were too drastic, I have in some instances disabled the color changing feature entirely. The tint map layer is of very poor quality in most cases and it can create all kinds of issues with color bleeding through, or parts that don't cover the gun correctly, etc. In some cases I have disabled this feature either partially or completely. I have left it so the lights on the weapons change with the use of armor piercing mods etc. where applicable. Most guns I try to leave this feature intact, unless its particularly bad. You can choose to leave this feature enabled by deselecting the tint map texture in the .TPF tools. I don't know if you can do this on the .MEM version or not. I haven't figured out how to do that.

Color changing was disabled on the following weapons because the tint map was so bad I decided not to screw with it:

  • M96 Mattock
  • M15 Vindicator
  • N7 Valiant
  • N7 Hurricane
  • N7 Piranha

The first two are bad, but if you like the feature it shouldn't look any worse than it does on the stock guns. The textures work well enough outside of the naturally poor coverage of the tint map, which is why I disabled it. On the N7 weapons, the feature was disabled because the tint maps are especially poor and because the "N7" logo will no longer line up at all as it was changed on the texture due to the original being so poor quality. I do not recommend leaving the tint map enabled even if your really into that feature. The tint map is a pain in the butt to edit, so I don't jack with it unless it can be done quickly. If someone knows a really easy way to make these, please let me know and I'll provide dual versions of the feature, or leave it enabled on all future mods and create a separate mod to disable it if you don't like it.

Some weapons do come with both versions. The "A" versions have the color change / tint map disabled while the "B" versions leave it enabled. In the screenshots above you can see the M8 Avenger making use of this feature. The N7 Eagle only has a color tint enabled version as I forgot to create one that was disabled. I may or may not add that in a future update. It works really, really well on that gun so I'm not in a rush to disable it even though most of the weapons in my game install have that feature turned off.

Additional Notes
As usual, I'm not 100% happy with all of these and my skills are constantly evolving. I may or may not make changes to the weapons contained in the pack and if I do, I will change the version as required.
