Description
This file replaces the default and very low quality texture on the Battlefield 3 promotional tie in for Mass Effect 3. It replaces the texture in both single and multiplayer modes. This is a 4096x4096 texture and is very similar to the one I released on the BSN several years ago with some improvements.

Installation
I packaged this as a .TPF file for use with Texmod and or ME3Explorer. All files are in the correct format to use with ME3Explorer so no conversions should be necessary. I will be uploading this file for the Mass Effect Modder program as well as I've found there are some advantages to using this in the .mem format. However, if you don't want to wait you can convert this yourself using MEM.

Mod Compatibility Considerations
There are some caveats to this mod. First and foremost, you will need a coalesced.bin edit to make use of this armor mod in single player. In multiplayer, it's easier if you have the armor unlocked. I think it's best to use the Expanded Galaxy Mod or something like that to enable it, but that's my opinion. There is a note for EGM users as well. The EGM adds some armors to the game. Most notably, the armor added is the "Corsair" armor. This is actually the same texture used by the Battlefield 3 mod. However, it excludes the fire effect mask that goes with it. The EGM has some advantages with this texture. First and foremost, the EGM allows you to run a "with fire" and "without fire" version without any issues or switching out texture files. It also allows you to switch the helmet out if you use the chestpiece slider to select the "Corsair" armor or "Battlefield 3" armor.

Known Issues
The only technical issue I know of at present has nothing to do with the textures as much as the .TPF tools not always updating the Corsair version of the armor with the EGM installed. It always updates the BF3 version, but not the Corsair even though they use the same texture. I've figured out that installing these textures via MEM works better as both always update. Therefore, I'm going to start distributing the .mem version of these files as well as the .TPF.

EDIT: .MEM version now available. Use this version if you have issues with the .TPF version not updating properly on the Corsair armor when used with the EGM mod.

Aside from that this mod has  been tested with all the DLC's as well as ALOT, EGM, and ME3Recalibrated. That said, I may or may not make additional changes to this mod. I'm not 100% happy with it and may improve it again. There is a blemish in the stripe of sorts on the right arm stripe that's present on all known versions of the Defender Armor in the game which appear in the single player. This includes both James' default armor and Shepards version of the armor. Even the Battlefield 3 version of the armor has this issue as well. Although, this texture doesn't show it as easily due to the color scheme.

Additional Notes: This can be renamed to replace the texture on James Vega's alternate outfit that's included in the "From Ashes" DLC if you have it. It can also replace either his normal Defender Armor or Shepards. This can be done manually through Texplorer pretty easily. However, this is no longer necessary as I have created a version of this armor for James Vega as well. Although, his "helmet" is a totally different device and not even a helmet at all. So that part of the mod is and probably always will be for Shepard alone.

The latest version(s) of the file contains a helmet texture which is identical to the Death Mask mod I've also uploaded to Nexus Mods. However, because it doesn't have all the masks and additional layers which allow the user to change the color, it does appear slightly different in color and it has less reflective surfaces. However, those of you who do not have your game setup to use full body suits with separate helmets don't have to look at a hideous low resolution helmet that doesn't match the style of the main armor anymore.
