About this mod
Gives Miranda a new unique uniform to wear throughout her scenes in Mass Effect 3, based off of Ashley's default ME3 uniform. A completely self-contained mod, does not require Texmod or Texplorer to view the new outfit textures in-game.
- Permissions and credits
This mod MAY NOT under any circumstances be reverse-engineered, ported, or recreated for the Mass Effect Legendary Edition (or any future version of the franchise) without the expressed permission, knowledge, and involvement of its author, AVPen.
One of the few questions I had with Miranda's character in ME3 was:
"Ok, so if she left Cerberus at the end of ME2... why the hell is she still wearing her old skin-tight Cerberus uniform, minus the obvious Cerberus logo?"
So let's give Miranda a more unique uniform that makes a statement... like say, Ashley's uniform. ;)
About the Mod
This was originally a mod concept developed by Getorex and that I originally created the textures for (along with testing the mod out on my system). A while back, Getorex contacted me asking if it would be possible to remake the mod as a DLC-mod. In working on it, however, I decided to go ahead and redo the model from scratch in order to fix a few issues with the original (namely to prevent the need for altering Miranda's original head/neck mesh and textures) - the result is a better model (with improved mesh deformation) and some improved texture work (fixed the original mod's Spec map, which got corrupted somehow).
This new DLC-mod works with all of Miranda's scenes in ME3, including her scenes in Shepard's Apartment and in the Armax Arena (note: those scenes obviously require the Citadel DLC to be installed).
Required Files/Programs
This mod does require WarrantyVoider's DLC Patch files to be downloaded and installed in the "Mass Effect 3\Binaries\Win32" folder: http://www.mediafire.com/download/vwtd3ofsggnusr9/binkw32.rar
Install Instructions
Just drag and drop the "DLC_CON_MiriUniform" folder into your Mass Effect 3 DLC folder (Mass Effect 3\BIOGame\DLC). :)
Q&A
1. Really? I just drag and drop this into the game's DLC folder?
Yep. :)
2. No, seriously, I don't have to fiddle with Texmod and TPF files or try and and play around with Texplorer in ME3Explorer to replace textures?
Not at all :) This mod is using a new method of integrating custom textures into DLC-type mods without the need for Texmod or permanent texture replacement - all the new textures required for the character's new outfit are stored directly in the mod's DLC folder.
3. What if I don't like the mod, how do I get rid of it?
You just delete it from your game's DLC folder.
4. And it doesn't affect anything in the base game or the other DLCs?
Nope, the mod is entirely self-contained.
5. ... Really?
Really :)
Mod Compatibility
- This mod is 100% compatible with both my Miranda Horizon Armor and Miranda Arena Armor mods (if those mods are also installed, then Miranda will wear her new uniform in all her normal scenes, but will be wearing her black armor for both her Horizon scenes and in the Armax Arena). :)
- This mod is 100% compatible with both MEHEM and JAM ending mods. :)
Additional Information
Note: There is a single scene in Horizon where Miranda will not be wearing her new uniform - it's the scene that plays on the monitor for Shepard of Miranda being attacked by Kai Leng (just after the monitor scene of Henry Lawson talking to the Illusive Man). The reason why this mod doesn't work on that video is because it's a rendered .bik video file that isn't influenced by model/texture changes, so that video unfortunately can't be changed.
