I'm not sure two of the files uploaded properly. If anyone has problems downloading or opening the female light and medium armors, let me know and I'll re-upload them

While I probably won't install this mod, I want to say that I appreciate that somebody took the time to make this mod.

I really wanted to install this mod but I couldn't. First I did all the instructions of in the text file but that didn't work. The collector textures and the armour textures were moulded into one. After this, I tried using the newest version of ME3 Explorer and using the TPF tools and noticed that 3 of the textures will not install properly and I think that is what is causing the issue. If someone could please help me with this it would be much appreciated, I really love the look of the ME1 armours.

    EDIT:
Nevermind, anyone who is having the same problem, I found a fix. Go into the most recent update of ME3 Explorer and load any files using the TPF tools. Analyse with texplorer and auto fix then install the valid files. Finally, general all TOCs using the ATOC tool and it should work. For me, only 6/9 were valid but the textures worked perfectly afterwarsd

I remember the original game had the opposite critique: that the armors are tiny and look like footsie pajamas.))) Really, the only bulky thing in ME1 is console-only armors on PC (black Spectre, white Janissary, blue Batarian armors like Kaidan here), even heavy armor in Mass Effect 1 is smaller than smallest shoulder pads in ME2, I liked both (but medium female armor in ME1 was perfect - like officer's uniform). In ME3, my problem is lack of assymetric armors, all shoulder guards are even and boring.

I tried to replace the default armor with the classic armor set, but it just appears as the destroyed burnt armor from the end of the game.
I've tried to fix it even by reinstalling the meshes and textures, changing it works, but the code provided doesn't seem to work.

What might I have done wrong?

Are you trying to set it up so you're wearing one of these armors right away on Mars? If so, you've got two options. The first and easiest is to make a save as soon as you can during the intro on Earth, then edit it in Gibbed. (I can explain how if you haven't done that before) As soon as the scene shifts to the shuttle on the way to the Mars archives, that Shepard should be wearing the classic armor instead of the default N7 gear. The second is more complicated, but will work automatically for every Shepard. Follow the tutorial here: http://social.bioware.com/2134634/blog/212599/ to do it, but be sure to use the armor code in the mod's description, not the one in the tutorial

    Wow, fantastic mod!

Question: Is it possible (with coalesced, or gibbed) to make Liara wear this armor immediately by default? So she'll wear it during the mars mission?

      Thanks

As far as I know, the only way to change Liara's Mars appearance is to physically swap out the meshes and textures for the default outfit. It's not difficult, but it is a bit time-consuming and requires a few little tricks if you don't want her wearing the armor on the Normandy.

Does this mod change helmets at all? Is there an optional add on that includes helmets or is changing people's heads not possible?

As of now, no, it doesn't change helmets at all. I've been trying to get the old ones to work, or even transfer defaults, but I'm having a heck of a time figuring it out! IF I can get them to work properly for everyone, there will be an optional download for them. I'm not sure when that'll happen, though.

For Shepard at least, you can add whichever helmet you want to any armor by doing some simple editing in the coalesced.bin file. The squadmates, however, are unfortunately stuck with their current headgear for the time being.

Hi Princessmeter, I sent you a PM regarding the work on the helmet. Let me know if you need my contributions to such a project. Thanks

How would one go about doing that. I have very limited exsperience with the editor. All i really want to do is add the regular breather helmet to the N7 medium armor for male Shepard. So far the coding has left me perplexed.

If you don't have the coalesced editor, you can get it right here at the Nexus, just search for 'coalesced' and it'll pop right up. To add the armor as a chestpiece, allowing any helmet to be worn with it, paste the following lines at the very bottom of the corresponding sections in your Coalesced.bin file (make sure there are no spaces in the lines!) and save:

      biogame.ini\sfxgame\sfxplayercustomization\armappearances:
      (Id=8,Name=339533,Description=339532,PlotFlag=-1,Type=CustomizableType_Arms)

      biogame.ini\sfxgame\sfxplayercustomization\legappearances:
      (Id=8,Name=339533,Description=339532,PlotFlag=-1,Type=CustomizableType_Legs)

      biogame.ini\sfxgame\sfxplayercustomization\shoulderappearances:
      (Id=8,Name=339533,Description=339532,PlotFlag=-1,Type=CustomizableType_Shoulder)

      biogame.ini\sfxgame\sfxplayercustomization\torsoappearances:
      (Mesh=(Male="BIOG_HMM_ARM_SHP_R.FBDd.HMM_ARM_FBDd_NH_MDL",Female="BIOG_HMF_ARM_SHP_R.FBDd.HMF_ARM_FBDd_NH_MDL",bHideHead=True,bHideHair=True),Id=28,Name=686365,Description=351309,PlotFlag=-1,Type=CustomizableType_Torso)

You'll now have whichever classic armor you've installed available in the chestpieces section. Just scroll to that one (it should be last in the list) and scroll to the end of each other section to get rid of the arms and legs, then pick your headgear like normal

As for adding the original ME1 helmets to the mod, it's looking like that won't happen any time soon. They require all new UV mapping, which I currently have absolutely no clue how to do, so I'm going to go back to attempting to swap out the ME3 helmets instead.

Nevermind took a closer look at it. Feel like a moron now. which woudn't be far off. The part that was getting me was this added text on the front of every line.

      (Mesh=(Male="BIOG_HMM_ARM_SHP_R.SHPh.HMM_ARM_SHPh_Slv_MDL",Female="BIOG_HMF_ARM_SHP_R.SHPh.HMF_ARM_SHPh_Slv_MDL"),GameEffects=("SFXGameContent.SFXGameEffect_PartBasedArmor_MeleeDamageBonus"),

I didn't bother to check further down the line. So could i simply copy the part stated above, then paste in your section after?

Nope, the lines I posted are all you need Just copy them exactly as-is to the first blank line at the very bottom of each corresponding section under sfxplayercustomization.

If you're still having difficulties, try reinstalling ME3Explorer. Move the file in your ME3Explorer's exec folder labeled me3tree.bin to your desktop and completely delete everything else. Redownload ME3Explorer from the link in the mod description, put the me3tree.bin file back into the exec folder, then run the .mod files again and it should work.
