The coat of arms of East Karelia designed by Akseli Gallen-Kallela in 1920. The coat of arms was adopted by the Karelian government in exile in Finland in 10.12.1920. The symbol was forbidden in the Karelian labor commune in the Soviet Union. Various Karelian freedom movements since 1921 used the heraldry and color scheme of this coat of arms. The coat of arms is not from the time period of the game, but it is designed in "medieval fashion" and is the first coat of arms widely used by the people of the region themselves.
