Hi! Today I released new version of Friends for Life DLC for Mafia 2 Definitive Edition!
Update comes with many desired functions!

What has been added?
MG42 weapon
Changing character model menu with 80 skins!
Languages support (English, Polish, Czech, German, French, Italian, Spanish, Russian)
Animations menu
Revamped menu on space key with save game in any moment function
Quicksilver Windsor Taxi in high detailed version
Installation:
Steam version:
Right click on Mafia 2 Definitive Edition game on steam game list, hover on manage tab and select Browse game files
It will open your game location folder, copy pc folder from mod archive and replace files.
If you had previous version of Friends for life I recommend deleting the old version first and start new game (new savegame) from friends for life menu.
Friends for Life DLC can be located in Additional content in main menu of the game.
Uninstall:
Delete cnt_friendsforlife folder from <<Your Mafia II Definitive Edition game directory>>\pc\dlcs

wish i could say its a lie but it just isnt.
[Edit:] now i seem to be able to use the mod menu. but its still stuck at the loading screen.
The reason for this may be also the corrupted zip file downloaded from nexusmods. Such things are beyond my control and are the fault of nexusmods directly or internet connection interrupted during the downloading process. In such a situation, it usually helps to download the file again.

You can also try to remove all savegames.
Impossible. The only thing I can think of is patches files - so either they are missing or conflict with something.
Game saves can also be a problem, M2DE is notorious for incompatible saves and they're fragile.
as for the other mods. yes. but they were uninstalled when i tried a clean save. which made it infuriating. so i cant really blame other mods as they were uninstalled or installed afterwards.

I also downloaded some car mods along with the wheel pack and everything works smoothly.
I checked and all patch files are included. I'm not going to investigate this further, it works on my end and many other players, otherwise there wouldn't be so many downloads or recommendations. If you really want to play Friends for Life, just download the classic version of the game along with Friends for Life for Mafia 2 classic.
