Today, a slightly unusual mod from me. I decided not to enhance original cutscenes by neural networks, as I do for other games, but instead adapt updated cutscenes from DE to original Mafia 2. Mod support all official localizations.
Despite the fact that DE turned out to be of very controversial quality due to bugs and Physx removal, d3t improved cutscenes well. Devs re-made them in 4K on an updated engine.
Therefore, in this case, I decided that it was enough to make these cutscenes work from DE in original game. Don't be surprised by increased size of videos between DE and my mod - they are encoded with Bink 2 version, but original Mafia 2 only supports Bink 1. So I had to remade it in Bink 1, which has worse compression.
