Description:
Mafia 2 originally had a melee combat system until it was cut before release. Now we can see why melee weapons were cut (unfinished animations). This mod adds a total of 19 melee weapons to the game! Version 2.0 adds 11 NEW melee weapons and a fix overhaul.

Note: This is a Lua script. You must have the Lua Injector OR Mafia 2 Trainer installed to use it.
Note: Don't spam the activation keys (F1-F12) or you'll increase the risk of the game crashing.
Note: Currently only works in Friends for Life DLC

Fixed Baseball Bat melee weapon animation by making it more stable, less chance of game crashing.
Fixed Bottle melee weapon animation by making it more stable, less chance of game crashing.
Fixed Nightstick (cosh) melee weapon animation by making it more stable, less chance of game crashing.
Fixed Meat Cleaver (chopper) melee weapon animation by making it more stable, less chance of game crashing. Also removed bat animation and gave it a knife animation.
Fixed Wrench melee weapon animation by making it more stable, less chance of game crashing. Also removed knife animation bc you don't stab people with wrenches lol.
Fixed Bonus Flashlight melee weapon animation by making it more stable, less chance of game crashing. Also removed knife animation bc you don't stab people with flashlights.

Installation:
1. Download Friends for Life DLC
2. Drag the Lua script (.lua file found within the downloaded .zip file) to the "userscript" folder found within your Mafia II directory and rename the file to match the name of a keyboard function key (eg. F3, F4, F5, etc.). Once in-game, and after you've run the Injector (see below), press the function key after which the downloaded Lua script is named. For example, if you've named the script "F3", press the "F3" key to run the script.
- This is the path to the "userscript" folder: "C:/Program Files (x86)/Steam/steamapps/common/Mafia II/pc/userscript".
- If you've already installed the Injector and the "userscript" folder isn't there, create it.

Using the script:
- Launch Mafia II and get in-game.
- Press "Alt+Tab" to minimize the game.
- Navigate to your "pc" folder.
- Run "mafiainjector.exe".
- Return to the Mafia II window.
- Resume the game.
- Make sure your hands are empty. Press the function key after which the downloaded Lua script is named. For example, if the script's name is "F3", press the "F3" key to run the script.
FAQ
--->The weapon doesn't look like it's being held properly?
Get in a fight with a random pedestrian and afterwards the weapon should be held properly. Also make sure your playing Friends for Life DLC since it only works there (not compatible with story or JA yet).
--->How do I get the stealth knife animation?
1. Find a civilian and use hard hit on him (right-click mouse or Y xbox button)
2. Leave the fight (make sure not to press crouch button)
3. Stealth knife animation should now work!
