the dude that made this probably puposedly made the version 4 unplayable, and cannot be played AT ALL, there's no fix, there's no patch. so DO NOT download version 4 and go pay 6 bucks for version 5. Deal with it, cry with it. This is stupid
Since the mod author won't remove the bugged sds from the mod at least until they're fixed, I'll add what I found so far, through a tedious process of replacing mod files with backup every crash or glitch I see
1. if you experience glitches that look like spikes coming from characters or lighting in the beginning mission, delete sicily from pc/sds/city 2. If game crashes after first mission and the mob boss cutscene, reinstall game, don't use this mod. Couldn't find the fucking sds that crashes the game, delete the whole city folder from mod, and city _universal and _crash and everything in this post. still fucking crashed 3. If you experience bugs in chapter 4 and chapter 5, delete these five files from the mod folder and replace them with the original files, or just delete them from the mod folder before applying mod on a fresh install: priceoffice.sds，marketarcade.sds，distillery.sds，oysterbay.sds ，oysterbay_z.sds (thanks to ah704896160) 4. If you experience physx issues, delete the apex folder from the mod folder in pc/sds
QTmodz if you're reading this, please tell us what to delete if we crash after sicily is complete, right before the chapter 2 cutscene. And also, if you have the time, what to delete if: 1. Wild Ones chapter, I prefer vanilla sunset and colors 2. A Friend of Ours looks washed out and too dark, also when Vito's house gets burned down fire is toned too much
Because this one is outdated and won't be posted with fixes on here until full version is released on here. The updated version you know where to find it.
i see that u did release it on your premium site. so when will it release on here? the top comment says it will be on here for free and that was February . i dont usually like too many reshades or graphic mods but this looks real nice.
+1 paygating a mod is poor taste and is frowned upon from the modding community as a whole.
You're modifying a copyrighted game, you have no claims for financial gain from that unless explicitly given by the original developers (which is still in poor taste).
this mod works partially. I mean "friends for life" that included in this mod pack doesnt work at all. The game doesnt see it. It writes that it was downloaded and i should buy it. What should i do in this situation? Pleas help
you can find friends for life elsewhere for free. as for the graphics mod idk, it crashed my game around the big bend near little italy when you first start friends for life at the mansion. to get friends for life working, i always reinstall the game and start it once and then quit out and then install the mod. i didnt start the game once and it wouldnt open again. sorry i write alot and crappy.

Do I only need to copy the files to game directory? I don't need any other mod or patch to make it run properly? I added the 4GB patch, no effect!
The game crashes at the Main Menu.
I have the Mafia II Definitive Edition - Steam Version. Been playing the story mode for a while. And was hoping this would brighten up the game. : /

A lot of these big mods alter game files that are linked to your save file.
