Much more features because I merged these 2 mods :
My mod removes a lot of useless visuals effects that are very distracting :
It is really hard to show them all because most of them are time related (like dizziness, speed effect, etc.).
But in game, just try it out yourself. You can very quickly toggle the HUD with the hotkey.
I may have forgotten some other features on my list because I made this mod a long time ago.
Don't hesitate to report stuff I have forgotten on the comment section.
What are the side effects/issues ?

Installation steps (update for V10) :
1/ Go to your game directory (where you .exe is located)
2/ Delete the following files/folders (if you have them):
3/ Copy paste into the directory all the files/folder of my V10 mod (keep the way the files are in the folders!)
4/ If you are using RESOREP otherwise go straight to 5/ :
5/ If you are using RESHADE otherwise go straight to 6/ :
6/ Once in game :
To change the CONTROLLER toggle key (step 5) :

To uninstall the mod, just remove everything you have just installed on your game directory.

My mod removes a lot of useless visuals effects that are very distracting :
- No more lensflares anywhere
- No more "wind speed effect" while driving at high speed
- Removes the "dizziness warning" from enemies once they are knocked out for a few seconds (the white stuff around their head)
- Removes "white punch effect" during melee : the white lines that appears from enemy attacks or your own punch attacks (I have just left the tiny white smoke effect to keep the "impact feeling"
- Removes the back bumper red taillight with its halo effect
- Removes screen glass effect from damage on vehicle
- Makes the fury mod much more subtle : no weird white wave effect on screen, no indicator on the corner of the screen and more subtle effects overall. It’s just a bit more « contrasty » with a light black and white effect

What are the side effects/issues ?
- It removes the « heat effect » that you can see from the exhaust pipe for instance
- It removes the black smoke from small distant fires. Not a big deal and doesn’t affect Gastown. It is hardcore in a sense because it makes place of interest more difficult to find because most of them are indicating with the smoke effect (and once you know that, it makes it to easy to identify secret places in my opinion)
- Some sky particule effects (dirt floating/sky weird effects) are gone, again, toggle on/off on dedicated area to see for yourself
- You must enable the HUD while in menu otherwise you will just see the Magnum Opus with a black background (actually it is quite interesting to see better the car
Can I remove the side effects/issues ?
- Unfortunately I can not.
- I spend hours trying to find the right layers to hide, there is no perfect settings.
- That is why this HUD mod is called Hardcore, because it goes further than the regular HUD toggle present already available on Nexus
Installation steps (update for V10) :
1/ Go to your game directory (where you .exe is located)
2/ Delete the following files/folders (if you have them):
- shadercache (folder)
- shaderfixes (folder)
- d3d11.dll
- d3dcompiler_46.dll
- d3dx.ini
- dxgi.dll
- dxgi.ini
3/ Copy paste into the directory all the files/folder of my V10 mod (keep the way the files are in the folders!)
4/ If you are using RESOREP otherwise go straight to 5/ :
- RUN Resorep.jar
- On the top click on your path
- Then click on the bottom right "remove selected"
- Then click on the bottom left "add application"
- Reselect the path : you just have to find your MadMax.exe
5/ If you are using RESHADE otherwise go straight to 6/ :
- Copy paste your DXGI file from your reshade mod to your game directory
6/ Once in game :
- to toggle the HUD either press CAPS on your keyboard or D-PAD UP on your controller
To change the CONTROLLER toggle key (step 5) :
- Open d3dx.ini and find this section :

- Then just change XB_DPAD_UP to any of the following :
