About this mod
Not a cinematic or realistic preset, but if you don't like the dull look of the original or just want to try something new, this might be the preset for you. Created while playing through the game. 100% playable - no black crushs or overglow of bright scenes.

Latest ReShade version successfully tested with: 5.8.0
Preset makes use of non free shaders: No
Preset needs properly configured access to the depth buffer of the game: Yes
Preset makes use of a custom LUT file: No
In-Game graphic settings (screenshots): 1440p, max details, Motion Blur Off, Gamma default (50)

Installation
Download and extract my file. Copy the preset file over to the MadMax.exe installation directory (e.g. for Steam: ..\steamapps\common\Mad Max\)
Download ReShade here: reshade.me
Install ReShade for MadMax.exe
Start the game and open the ReShade Interface with the Home / POS 1 key.
Verify Depth buffer access - see screenshot
To verify depth buffer access enable DisplayDepth shader. Output should look as in linked screenshot. Deactive the shader afterwards.
Uninstallation
Follow the same steps as with the installation and after selecting Mad Max choose Uninstall.
I'll test my preset with future releases of ReShade from time to time and will update as needed. In the meantime or in case of any incompatibilies you can get all ReShade releases here: ReShade Repository
You can also modify the URL of the official download, if you know the exact version you want to download. Just change the X chars accordingly: https://reshade.me/downloads/ReShade_Setup_X.X.X.exe

Installation

- Choose Direct3D10/11/12 as rendering API.
- Choose my preset. The necessary packages will be selected automatically.
Start the game and open the ReShade Interface with the Home / POS 1 key.
- Do the tutorial if you are not familiar with how ReShade works
- Configure Global preprocessor definitions - Open the ReShade interface, click on the Home tab and select 'Edit global preprocessor definitions' and for 'Reshade Depth Input is reversed' replace 0 with 1. Click anywhere outside the box to close it.
