Stops my game from working :( i installed everything right as i belive... I dropped everything from the ZIP file and replaced sum thingy in the game folder with that of a ZIP file. Without replacing mod didnt work, with replacing, game didnt work. More specifically, if i try to go for new game it just freezes. When i try to continue it starts showing malkuth floor and then switches to some texture of shadow on the floor, and all that still in the loading screen... Idk what's happening but its quite frustrating that i didnt even really install any mods and it's already failing to run
So I followed the visual guide from the images tab, but when I open the game and click on continue, I cannot do a command like AddMoney 10 to add some LOB points. Also, the words of which version of Basemod im using does not appear on the starting menu screen. Am I doing something wrong? If so what? Much help is appriciated.
EDIT: The version of which basemod im using does appear now after I replaced all the files again with everything that was in basemod, but the console command Addmoney 10 does not work.
Hi ^^ usually hitting the cmd key on your keyboard, for me it only works after i hold it or click it multiple times, the cmd key in this case is the one at the top right of a keyboard usually ( see img below )
Very late reply but just incase someone sees this. How do you open the console when you don't have this kind of keyboard? Cuz I straight up don't have that key and nothing I do brings up the console so am I just screwed?
The console unlock is not working with my basemod(5.1.1). If its post to come with the install its not in "basemods" folder. If i didn't have this one problem or if i could just install it from the Google drive the mod author made(then removed). It would be money.
I found this Google Docs that has some recommendations on mods and a download for Basemod 5.1.1. This is most likely not the newest version (since it's from 2020), but it was the newest I could find since the none of the invites to the Community Discord I can find are valid. I'm using this, but based from what I've seen on reddit/steam forums 5.0 or even 4.x is working fine with the current game patch, and most people have issues from the installation process.
The image to help you install here on nexus is a bit needlessly confusing imo. There is 1 step to this installation: Drag the contents of the .zip (i.e. the folders named 'BasedMods', 'Equipment_Base', 'Guide_en', 'Guide_kr', and 'Managed') into the folder name 'LobotomyCorp_Data' in your game directory. Yes to overwriting (1 or 2 files iirc).
.dll mods have to be inside their own separate folders inside the BaseMods folder (i.e. ...\LobotomyCorp\LobotomyCorp_Data\BaseMods\MODFOLDER\MODFILE.dll), so if you download a mod that is just a .dll file, you have to manually create that MODFOLDER. Beware that .txt mods (not sure if true for all of them) go directly into the BaseMod (no s at the end) inside the Managed folder, i.e. ..\LobotomyCorp\LobotomyCorp_Data\Managed\BaseMod .
Mods found in-game under Options -> MODS that only show "UNKNOWN" in their in-game mod description are most likely installed correctly. Mod descriptions have to be manually added for each language. If the mod has a description, it is found as an .xml file in ...\LobotomyCorp\LobotomyCorp_Data\BaseMods\MODFOLDER\info\LANGUAGE\info.xml . The "LANGUAGE" folder has in all my cases been named "kr" for Korean, and has to be renamed into "en" for the description to show up in game running English. The description/.xml file is still written in Korean, but if the mod in question has keybindings they are likely written here and can be nice to have easy access to in-game.
If the game displays "UNKNOWN" in a bunch of other places (the tutorial has it a handful, but I'm talking the majority of the screen saying UNKNOWN), the install of Basemod was done incorrectly. As far as I can could tell (haven't had this issue myself, just came across others having it online) it most often occurs because of deleting files that shouldn't have been deleted.
With this in mind, I got it up and running these mods all working as far as I could tell (not completely sure about the gift chance boost)
Not sure why, but when I go to mod settings in options, all mods appear as 'Unknown'. Also, some mods don't work while others do. Is there something that I'm missing?
first problem is modders suck at localization and dont know how to make it not unknown, and the second one is if its about accesorry it wont work without placing it into CustomData. or sometimes the mod is just broken and doesnt pair with others lol
Yo can someone please, anyone tell me where i download the wonderlab mod? So far my search went empty and i do not know how to aquire this mod. Sorry if im using this mod as a Q&A but im desperate and really wanna play it.
