LAD: Pirate's native hdr implementation is broken. Lots of detail is lost because of "incorrect math", especially in the dark areas. The paper white/game brightness goes down to a minimum of 300 nits; which is still pretty damn bright; with the mod you can have whatever peak and game brightness you want!
I wrote a mod that replaces the current native hdr implementation with my own.
THIS IS NOT AUTOHDR -- I've modified the game's files and shaders that make the game output a proper HDR output
-- We do not use any Reshade shaders or effects; we just use Reshade to inject our mod!
Installation:
1) Download and install "reshade with full addon addon support" from https://reshade.me/
-- https://reshade.me/downloads/ReShade_Setup_Addon.exe <- download the latest version of reshade + addon support
2) Download the mod
3) Place renodx-yakuzapirates.addon64 in your game folder, the same folder as likeadragonpirates.exe
Installation Notes:
- Enable Native HDR in game
- Control Peak and Game brightness via the mod (Press home to open the mod menu)
-- The game's HDR sliders are killed, so we can control them with the mod!
- Vanilla+ means we run the mods code, while "Vanilla" is the same as having the mod uninstalled
Configuration:
- Press "home" and click the "RenoDX" tab to open the configuration menu
- Everything is setup to look good without needing any tweaking, except maybe changing the peak brightness to match your display

Thank you to Shortfuse for making the RenoDX framework
- If you need help, you can always find me on the HDR Den discord! To avoid bots, the link can be found inside of the mod's control panel!
- Due to the nature of converting HDR screenshots to SDR, the images on the nexus page don't look as good as the the mod does in game!
Take a look at some HDR screenshots!
