1. What is Another Life Expansion ?
One of the biggest issue with botw is the weapons durability, which is very (too) low ;
Another Life Expansion fixes this issue by introducing a new feature : the Shard System !
Every weapon will drop 1or 2 of it corresponding shard when it breaks, and you'll be able to use 3 of them to craft this weapon or a weapon of the same type at an anvil ;
There are 19 anvils placed all over the map which allow you to craft different weapons depending of their location.
For example Kakariko Village anvil will be for Sheikah weapons, Goron Village anvil for Goron Weapons, Yiga Hideout anvil for Yiga weapons...
- There is also a special anvil you can find in every stables and near the old man hut. This anvil allows you to craft weak or useful weapons (e.g rusty sword, torch...) in exchange of basic materials (wood and flint, so no shards required).
- You can craft 165 weapons (swords, long swords, spears, bows and shields).
- These weapons can be crafted with 32 types of shards !
- All these shards have a custom icon and model.
