Replaces the Sniper Scope sights with a highly detailed alternative featuring an Optical chevron sight for easier targeting in darkened areas.

This version includes both "The Professional Scope" and the "Oval scope Fix". Download/Use only ONE of them.
The Professional Scope original file supports most widescreen and full screen resolutions and is recommended for most users, The Oval scope Fix was created specifically for people running L4D2 at (1366 x 768) and (1768 x 992) resolutions respectively.




Below are two workarounds for toggling the crosshair on/off while looking through scope.


Workaround 01:
Open the console window in game "~" key and type the following.

• bind mouse3 "+zoom ; crosshair 0"
• bind mouse2 "+attack2 ; crosshair 1"

note: This method requires you to use your secondary attack to turn back on crosshair.

Workaround 02:
as suggested by plan A

Open notepad and copy/paste the following:
alias "+zin" "+zoom; crosshair 0";
alias "+zout" "+zoom; crosshair 1";
alias "-zout" "-zoom; bind mouse3 +zin";
alias "+zin" "+zoom; crosshair 0";
alias "-zin" "-zoom; bind mouse3 +zout";
bind "mouse3" "+zin"
Save as: "scope.cfg".

Add the following line to your autoexec.cfg. (If you don't have a autoexec.cfg, create one")
exec scope
Save/Save as: "autoexec.cfg"

Move both files ("autoexec.cfg" and "scope.cfg") to:
C:Program Files (x86)Steamsteamappscommonleft 4 dead 2left4dead2cfg

Done!

note:Occasionally the crosshair may become bugged. Simply double tap Middle mouse button to fix.



Installation:

-Unzip file
-Move the downloaded file to
"C:SteamSteamAppscommonLeft 4 Dead 2left4dead2addons"
-Run Left 4 Dead 2

note: If you're unsure that the mod is active check the AddOns option from the in-game main menu and ensure that the Mod has a check mark beside it.
