    Dark Harbinger

    Last Update: 20 Apr 2016
    Author: NiuHaka

NiuHaka is back with another head mod, for Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords. This one alters the fourth male Caucasian head, also known as the Obi-wan or Jesus head. NiuHaka disliked the old one and decided to make a few changes. The changes are subtle, but still noticeable when you compare it to the old one (check the second screenshot for reference). The screenshots do a better job than me of describing the changes, so I won't even bother trying, because I'm that lazy. As for whether this is an improvement, well, that's subjective. The dark side transitions have been redone, but still retain that zombie look. Everything starts to grey, and the skin gets all cracked. And before anyone asks, yes, there are Sith eyes. In fact, there's a whole bunch; there are a few alternate skins for the very dark side appearance. So, if you're looking for a new head, or like the changes made with this one, here you go. NOTE: Please leave comments/feedback for the author, especially if you download and use this mod; usually it's the only reward modders receive for their efforts. ~JC

    Author: Stoffe (RevanAnt)

Its update time. When a really talented modder makes an update, there is always reason to get excited to see what great mod has gotten some new improvements. When Stoffe gave me her female Twilek head option to upload last August 1, for Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords, it became a very popular mod (well over 2000 downloads at the time of review). Now the author has graced us with her updated version of her female Twilek version of the Exile Jedi. As many may have noticed is that the author based her head option off of the Twin Suns model and skin, who Atton has a run in the Cantina on Nar Shaddaa. Stoffe made some minor tweaks to her mod to give it more of its own look so its not too close to looking like the Twin Suns. This mod if youre not familiar with it provides also a custom Jedi robe and a new dancer outfit skin if you dance for Vogga the Hutt on Nar Shaddaa. It also does not come with dark side transitions because the author does not like playing on the dark side. That shouldnt stop you from wanting to become a Dark Lord, you still can. You just wont have physical changes to your appearance. This mod also uses the TSL Patcher (made by Stoffe) for easy installation and to patch up some .2da files. Enjoy the updated head option! Note: Please leave the author feedback, especially if you download this mod and use it. It really helps encourage the author to make more mods in the future. -Shem

Mod Rating: Between Basic and Advanced Junebug brings us her first mod for this site, and I must say that it is an accomplished re-skin/re-texture of the dirty blonde Caucasian female head; which changes the head to a natural red head. Freckles have been skilfully added, all in all this is an impressive dbut mod and I would have no hesitation in recommending this as a head should you want to play your exile as full-blooded red headed woman. Subtle dark-side transitions have also been included; please review the screens to see if this is a mod for you; as with most graphical mods it is of course down to personal preference, though I do admire the skill taken to do this particular head. Enjoy! -- jonathan7 Please leave the author praise and constructive criticism; which are often far more valuable than rating mods...

    Wound in the Force (2.0)

    Last Update: 20 Apr 2016
    Author: NiuHaka

Sometimes when we have a game where you can select how our main character will look like, we sometimes want to be something we can relate to physically. Like if a person has blonde hair, maybe the user will select a head with blonde hair. See where Im going with this? Then there are times we want our character to look like someone who they think relates to the plot of the character. This mod seems to focus more on the latter analogy. NiuHaka returns to update his Wound of the Force head that is based on the first male Caucasian head selection in the game Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords. This is one of those head models that have an extra mesh put on it so when you put a scar on the right side of the head, it doesnt show up on the left eye as well. The author seemed to want to have a head that relates to what the Exile went through; that is show signs of being a war veteran. This release has been updated with several new versions of the skin along with Wound of the Force with such options as Eyes of Death and Eyes of the Hunter. You may notice that the dark side transitions focus more of changes than the light side, but its all there in each individual texture. Enjoy! Note: Please leave the author feedback, especially if you download this mod and use it. It really helps encourage the author to make more mods in the future. -Shem

    Last Update: 20 Apr 2016
    Author: Miles Edgeworth (Indiana_Revan77)

I had to bet who is the most popular party member in both Knights of the Old Republic games, I would say without hesitation Bastila Shan. In any poll that involves picking party members for something in particular, Bastila is always on top. Many gamers out there just find her hot. Well, what if you could play as Bastila as your main character? How about playing as her in the sequel, Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords? Sound good? Well, if that is what you want to hear, then this mod will bring it to you provided by Indiana_Revan77 who now seems to want to go by the username Miles Edgeworth now. The sound of Bastila as the Jedi Exile has an interesting ring to it. There are also dark side transitions with the selectable Bastila head. That last one really looks sinister. It also comes with custom portraits. The TSL Patcher will install this mod for easy installation and the compatibility it will bring to the appearance.2da, heads.2da, and portraits.2da files. Last Update: 20 Apr 2016
    Author: Shem

As we saw in Episode 3, the Dark Side does not automatically mean you start looking like Darth Sion on a bad skin day. It's a far more subtle, quiet thing to fall. The changes are subtle, aside from yellowed eyes glowing with the Dark Side's power. Shem broken out these faces of the Dark Side for our Exiles, male and female. However, when the Exile goes Dark, she/he does not go alone. Therefore, there are DS transitions for every member of the Exile's crew! Now, you can watch the subtle evil creep across the Handmaiden's face or see Mira's face grow stony. That, and Atton still retains his lady-killer face while reverting back to literal lady-killer status. Again, roses and onions will allow the modder to make more and better mods in the future. It is also the only payment modders receive for the hours of hard work that goes into a project. - Allronix

    Last Update: 20 Apr 2016
    Author: The Mad Blimper

If you want a new PC head you're certainly in for a treat with this! The Mad Blimper makes his first FileFront debut by giving the pfhc01a head (the female caucasian with the bushy blonde hair) a makeover. The hair color and eyebrows have been changed to a fairly dark red, and the eyes a similarly dark green. The facial features have also been changed slightly. If you're looking for a fairly unique-looking head you'll be sure to like this! Not many red-headed or green-eyed ones available in TSL, so having a different one like this should give your next playthrough a new feel. Enjoy the new head! Athena Too (Selectable Female PC) (1.3)

    Last Update: 20 Apr 2016
    Author: Kristy Kistic

I love it when we get new authors here. Well, we got another one. Kristy Kistic makes her FileFront debut. Kristy is a very talented modder who were grateful has made her way here to post mods. I look forward to her future releases. Over the last year that I have been a regular here, every now and then a Picture of the Day (PotD) would show up and there was an unfamiliar female head option that would show up rarely, or its in a screenshot of a mod that doesnt focus on the head, but was there, and then people would ask that common question when you see something you want, Where did you get that head? For those who are reading this review and have been in this situation and never got your hands on that head option, your wish has come true. The new head option has is called Athena Too, which is for the sequel to 2003s game of the year, Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords. We are getting the most recent upgrade of it as it is the 1.3 version of the mod which has lots of new features to it for those who are familiar with this mod and have downloaded this head before. This head has some nice soft features to it with the light blond hair and the really light blue eyes. But if you turn to the dark side, she really looks evil. Now, the new feature for this release you get different hair and eye colors to choose from. Whats also new is the clothing option she gets which is based off the people of Onderon. However, if you turn to the dark side, you have the traditional head changes from the original release. You also get some really sexy underwear to wear, which is a new feature. This mod uses the TSL Patcher for easy installation and necessary .2da file merging. Please take the time to read the readme for instructions, especially if you want to change your hair and eye color. Enjoy this fantastic head option. Dread Cyborg

    Last Update: 20 Apr 2016
    Author: NiuHaka

What if the character you played with in Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords had so many war wounds that he looked very much like a cyborg? Well, at least in the face that is. If that is something you think would be fun, then this mod will may be something worth trying out. I also mention spoilers from the Knights of the Old Republic game in this review. If you havent played it, I suggest quit reading this review. The author (NiuHaka) of the Wound of the Force head skin is back to fill your robotic needs with a new head re-skin that replaces the 2nd male Asian head selection (even though the textures say 5th) by given him some robot looking implants. Talk about being more than just a wound in the Force. This is something Darth Vader didnt need. As many of you recall, Vader needed implants all over his body except his head. Now here we have someone who just needed head implants, but not any body ones. Heck, this would have been a great excuse for Revans lost memories in the first Knights of the Old Republic if you think about. Maybe something like this could be made for that game. Anyway, enjoy the new head skin! Note: Please leave the author feedback, especially if you download this mod and use it. It really helps encourage the author to make more mods in the future. -Shem

    Mission Vao as PC

    Last Update: 20 Apr 2016
    Author: Ferc Kast

As I have mentioned in the past about how Obsidian ported most of BioWares work over for Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords, they left out some key party members from the first game. One of those key party members was Mission Vao. She was a blue Twilek you had the opportunity to work with as she helped your player character get into the Vulkar base on Taris. Ferc Kast has brought us a mod so you can play as a character with a resemblance of Mission Vao. Since the model wasnt in the game, modders have to improvise with what is available. In this case Mission will look much older. Now, if you think about it, this is very realistic. If you didnt know for whatever reason, Mission was 14-years-old in the first Knights of the Old Republic game. Since the second Knights of the Old Republic is five years later, she should be 19-years-old, right? So having her look older makes sense, doesnt it? The TSL Patcher is used to install this mod. Make sure you select the game folder (not the override folder) where you installed the game and let the Patcher do the work for you. When you click the TSLPatcher.exe file, it will prompt you to select where you want to install the mod. Just click on the SWSKotOR2 Folder, start a new game and enjoy! Author: Saskei

When I played the sequel to 2003s game of the year, Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords, for the first time ever starting my game on December 7, 2004, I picked the 2nd Caucasian male head option, even though the texture files have it labeled like its the 6th option. Saskei makes his KOTOR FileFront debut (the author has a history on JKFiles) with a mod that gives a new skin to the 2nd male head option. What has changed is the sandy blonde hair into really dark brown. The author added a beard to it. Now its really hard to tell, but the new hair color does have texture on the head and face, but you really have to look at because it's hard to see it. My advice would be to maybe either lighten the hair up so you can see the hair textures, or somehow add more texture to the hair while keeping the really darken look because I know some people will say it if I dont. I do like fullness of the beard and the style chosen. The author did make custom portraits to match the new head option and it does have work done on the dark side transitions for you dark side lovers out there. The hair doesnt start to go gray as you turn to the dark side, which is a plus from my end. The author also made his own custom Sith eyes. The mod is an overall great addition to the site. Enjoy! Author: Laam'inui (Squishy Tomato)

Sometimes in life we have a few oops moments. That is what makes us human. This is so true in the modding community as authors pack mods together and sometimes well realize later or someone will point out that something is not in the right place or missing. Kalos is back with a mod update to this Exile Expansion mod because the female Chiss head he design ended up being a blank head instead. Some of you experienced this personally while others have seen failed modding attempts posted on the web or even here for a possible Picture of the Day moment where you see a character without their head. In the case of the original release, if youre missing the head models, the character will appear headless. If youre just catching up, there are two new heads in this mod; one male head which is based off of the 2nd male Hispanic head while the female head model is based off of the 5th female Asian head. There are dark side transitions and new portraits for these new selectable heads. New clothing will replace the commoner clothing that the Exiles use by default. The Jedi Guardians will get the Solider clothing style from Knights of the Old Republic; the Jedi Sentinels will get the Scout clothing style from Knights of the Old Republic too; and the Jedi Consulars will get the Scoundrel clothing style from Knights of the Old Republic as well. The TSL Patcher will install this mod for easy installation and possible file merging compatibility depending on your personal override folder; very handy for those who have no modding skills. Enjoy the new update! Note: Please leave the author feedback, especially if you download this mod and use it. It really helps encourage the author to make more mods in the future. -Shem

    The Paper's Jedi Master 4H (2.0)

    Last Update: 20 Apr 2016
    Author: ThePaper

Mod Rating: Basic Some of you know and some of you dont, but there was an unused female Jedi head in the game Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords. Every now and then someone who knows about it and has some modding skills decides to make a mod of it. Here is one of those situations. ThePaper makes his KotorFiles debut after releasing a mod over at the Warcraft III area of FileFront over 2 1/2 years ago by bringing us his version of the lost female Jedi head. The underwear and clothing is based on my what I did for my Playable Taepalae mod where I used the Handmaidens style of underwear while using a resembled Twin Suns outfit for the default clothing. Then comes the dark side transitions where you will look like a female version of the Joker seen in The Dark Knight. This comes with custom portraits as well. The TSL Patcher is used to install this mod for easy installation and the compatibility changes it brings to the appearance.2da, heads.2da, and portraits.2da files. There are also some optional alternate texture variations that you use if you want once you install the mod to override the mods default installation action. Enjoy! In the words of an almighty Dark Lord of the Sith, Impressive... most impressive. I could here the audio of that quote in my head when I laid eyes on this mod. Well, MetalSabre makes another return to the modding community by bringing us a new skin to play with for the game, Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords. This new skin will replace the 5th female Caucasian head option. The author went with the Twilek body from the Twin Sun Assassins that you come across during the Nar Shaddaa mission to replace the underwear model. He also put rose tattoos all over the head and body skins. I suppose the Exile went tattoo crazy after her exile, huh? My only warning about this mod is the using other head options. My advice would be just use the female head option used in the mod when playing female if you play with this mod, at least stay with the Caucasian race. Reason being is because the model will replace all female underwear models for the Black, Hispanic and Asian races. The textures will look very funny on the new model put in the game because they will use the default underwear textures and they are not mapped for the model being put in. If you decide to use another Caucasian head besides the one in this mod, the rose tattoos will be just on the body and not the head. Im willing to bet the author overlooked that. Still, a cool mod. Worth a try if youre looking for something new and original. If you want to use another head, especially on another race, just install it before using. Bastila Shan Mature Look

    Last Update: 20 Apr 2016
    Author: messkell

I am very pleased to announce the FileFront debut of Messkell. This author is one of the greats back in the old days of 2004 when Knights of the Old Republic was new and fresh to everybody. He also has been away for a while like many who modded back in those days on PCGM. Unfortunately all of Messkells work is now gone from the PCGM days since that site has crashed and will never return. The authors work was fantastic and this mod that he has never released to the public that I know of will give you a taste of what kind of work this author is capable of doing. Hopefully he will be reading this review and know that I hope sends all his work here so it will never disappear again. This mod gives you Bastila as a selectable PC. Yeah, its been done before, but the author gives us a new and exciting twist to playing as her as he has changed her look for the game Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords. He gives her an older and more mature look by just changing the hair on the Bastila head model. The face is still the same. People typically have a different look five years later and women especially. Since TSL is five years later than K1 is, it would be assumed that Bastila would have a new hair style. As mentioned earlier, you can select this head to use as a female Exile if so desired. You get a chance to use the authors new modeled and textured clothing of Bastila. There are no dark side transitions with this mod which means if youre a fan of the dark side and love having an evil Sith look to your face, this mod will not provide that. One thing to keep in mind that this is a selectable head only and will not alter Bastila's appearances in the game. You would have to manually change that yourself. The TSL Patcher will install this mod to make the necessary .2da file changes needed to make Bastila a selectable PC head. Enjoy! Note: Please leave the author feedback, especially if you download this mod and use it. It really helps encourage the author to make more mods in the future. -Shem

    Playable Taepalae

    Last Update: 20 Apr 2016
    Author: Shem

Ah, Shem returns with another head mod, so soon after the last one. This one is of another non-player character from Dantooine, but this time it's a female one. In order to complete the main quest on Dantooine, you have to enter the Jedi Enclave sublevel, which has been overridden with laigreks and salvagers. Before you enter, you come across a group of such salvagers led by Taepalae. She might look familiar, as it's similar to one of the female head options from Knights of the Old Republic I. (For the record, it was Shem who told me this...it's been ages since I've played KotOR I. ) Anyway, as I was saying with the Dopak skin, there are five parts of a head mod, not including all the .2da editing, which is done by the TSL Patcher for this mod (of course ). I'll start with the head skin: it's Taepalae. Shem didn't make any changes, and this sort of thing is really a matter of preference anyway. As for dark side transitions, instead of the zombie look, you'll get a pair of Sith eyes. There are custom portraits, one light side, one dark...though she kind of looks evil in both. Custom underwear is the same as Brianna the Handmaiden's, since they have the same skin tone, and for clothes Shem used a reskin of the Twin Sun outfits. There's a bit of a problem with the latter in the character creation screen, but after that it's fine. That was five things, right? As I said with the Dopak mod, if you're interested in trying something new for a change, give this a download. You'll need WinRAR/7zip to extract the files, and be sure to select the SWKotOR2 folder--not the Override folder--when you run the TSL Patcher. Enjoy! NOTE: Please leave comments/feedback for the author, especially if you download and use this mod; usually it's the only reward modders receive for their efforts. ~JC

    Starkiller as PC

    Last Update: 20 Apr 2016
    Author: Ferc Kast

One game I have absolutely enjoyed playing that was released last month was the game Star Wars: The Force Unleashed! I thought it was a great story and the game engine was fantastic. The hero of that game was given the name Starkiller as he was Darth Vaders secret apprentice who was being trained to become powerful enough to help Vader overthrow the Emperor. Anyway, Ferc Kast gives you a mod that has a likeness to the character of Starkiller in the game Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords. With a few photo sourcing tricks using Berun Modrul's head skin with a few tweaks, you have a head that has a similarity to Vaders secret apprentice. The head selection also has dark side transitions and custom portraits. The mod also uses the TSL Patcher for the installation part. As many of you know that the TSL Patcher is a very using tool in making mod installation very convenient for those who lack modding skills. Its also convenient for speed of the installation so you dont have to spend time making manual changes so its compatible with your personal override folder. Enjoy! Kaevee (1.1)

    Last Update: 20 Apr 2016
    Author: Eefluxx

Eefluxx returns to update his Kaevee head mod with new portraits, clothes, some unique underwear and Dark Side transitions- the physical marks of using the Dark Side that appear on Sith in the KotOR series. The mod also now uses TSLPatcher, making it much easier to install. The new portraits, being further away from the face, I think are a great improvement, in particular. Overall, the skinning looks pretty good, I think - although for the Dark Side transitions, a few veins - though hard to pull off - might make for a more consistent feel with the rest of the game. Other than that my only other criticism of the mod would be that the light-sided skin looks a little too yellow to me - but that may just be me. Overall, it's a nicely-executed update, and well-worth a look. NB: Please leave constructive criticism, particularly if you download and use this mod, as the download-counter isn't very informative. -Darth InSidious

    Author: Eefluxx

It is with great pleasure that we welcome another modder into the fold - ladies and gentlemen, I give you Eefluxx! Now, Eefluxx has brought us a new female playable head to use, by taking an unused head from the game files and making it available to play with. This head is very interesting - it is labelled in the game files as Jedi_Master_4H, but never appears in game. There have been various theories as to what the character was to be - The Source theorised it was Nomi Sunrider, while the TSL Restoration Project have decided to use it for a cut character called Kaevee, who was to have appeared in the sublevel, and this may be the more likely candidate. The head has no Dark Side transitions, and her hair may clip through the Jedi robes occasionally. Nevertheless, an impressive achievement for a first mod.
