I was trying to install Toastsy Fresh's weapon model mod, and I follow the instructions and extract the files and have them put in the Override folder but nothing seems to happen. I tried to install the Fens-Carth mod beforehand which had similar instructions but nothing in-game changes. Any idea about how to fix this?
The link in the description for Toasty Fresh weapon model overhaul is no longer working. Looks like its on the nexus now here: https://www.nexusmods.com/kotor/mods/1096/?
Perfect mod, I just have a small issue (KOTOR seems to be ahting my new PC anyways xD) that the heavy blaster shows up white and textureless; I've extracted all the files twice just in case and nada. Any idea what could be the problem?
I went into the tslpatchdata folder for THIS mod (not toasty's) and just found every file relating to the heavy blaster, then I just repasted those files back into my override and it fixed it. Texture looks good, I also have high detailed blasters mod installed so maybe that's why. No more eyesores for heavy blasters.
I think its safe to assume that everyone here would greatly appreciate it if Toasty would simply upload his Kotor Mod files to the Nexus! Could you pass that info along to him please and thank you!
@natranr incase you didn't realise, higher up in the comments 1 user posted a link to download Toasty's mod through Mediafire. Files are available still: http://www.mediafire.com/download/as0fw6q0b9j0lnr/KoTOR+Weapon+Model+Overhaul.rar
can you help me? i deleted all my other mods to see if any of them caused trouble but that wasnt it. i think it is because i dont have freshs overhaul. the link dosent work for me. cant find the DNS. the textures are all rotated the wrong way for my swords. shortsword vibroblade e.t.c
After searching the internet for like 2-3 hours I finally managed to find a working link to download TOASTY FRESH'S WEAPON MODEL OVERHAUL. If you're still interested in this mod here's the link http://www.mediafire.com/download/as0fw6q0b9j0lnr/KoTOR+Weapon+Model+Overhaul.rar
Everything perfect least one small problem. The weapons Prototype Vibroblade and Zaalbar Bowcaster have no name or description, only the icon. Any solution?
The same problem. I've installed those mods: http://warpedproductions.echonetwork.net/robemodel.html http://www.nexusmods.com/kotor/mods/260/? http://www.nexusmods.com/kotor/mods/391/? http://www.nexusmods.com/kotor/mods/76/?
This can occur, when you install this mod to a localized kotor other than english. To fix this you have to open the .uti files with a gff editor and change all text entries from (english) to what ever language your kotor is localized. One example for better understanding: To get the name of the Vibrosword Prototype back, open the g_w_vbroshort09.uti with your gff editor and search for the entries "descIdentified" "description" "LocalizedName" All this entries have a "[LocalString 1]" entry followed by either "(Male English)" or "(Female English)" Now you only have to change the language field to your language, maybe translate and alter name and description text and save. Voila empty fields filled with letters again.
If I install WotOR after this, will the weapon models/stats in WotOR be used instead of the ones provided by this? I've run into a problem where Mission's and Zaalbar's weapons are using this mods models and stats instead of WotOR even though all the other weapons I've run into and are provided by WotOR have been WotOR. Both these mods are great by the way.
EDIT: Would manually adding the files that were skipped by WotOR's TSLpatcher use the WotOR's models (they were 3 utc and 3 uti files)? EDIT: This seems to have fixed that problem after getting back to that point in the game.

mediafire link is useless for a lot of people.
so this mod will sadly stay on the shelf
I doubt it. the Kotor modding scene is dead. It's sad, I would have loved to use your mod, but the link in the description is dead.
