Shortly after escaping the Endar Spire in the original Knights of the Old Republic game, you arrive on Taris and find out that the Sith have taken control of the planet in order to find Bastila Shan. As you find yourself in an abandoned apartment with Carth Onasi, you find out that you are on the Upper City of Taris, where the upper class citizens live. Near by there is a cantina where Ajuur the Hutt runs a dueling ring. If you decide to participate and become the dueling champion, a Mandalorian named Bendak Starkiller would love an opportunity to face you in a death match. Masaru93 makes his FileFront debut by making a unique appearance for Bendak Starkiller. Instead of his traditional yellow Mandalorian assault armor, he gets a new Mandalorian armor appearance custom made by the author that is colored gray. Bendak will be the only Mandalorian to wear such an armor in the whole game. What�s also cool is you can get a hold of this armor. Defeat Bendak in a death match and collect his bounty on the Lower City of Taris in Javyar�s Cantina from Zax the Hutt, who will give you Bendak�s armor. This mod uses the TSL Patcher for easy installation and necessary file merging with .2da files. To make sure this mod will work after you install it, start with a saved game before you ever enter the Upper City Cantina. Welcome to the modding world Masaru93. Enjoy the mod! DESCRIPTION: This mod does a few things to make the game a little more interesting. First, it gives Bendak Starkiller a simple yet unique reskin of his own, a new entry in the appearance.2da, to make him more unique. It also Creates �Bendak Starkiller�s Assault Armor�, a new combat armor that somewhat rivals other selectable battle armors. It is fully upgradable, appears reskinned in the upgrade window, and allows you to take the appearance of Bendak himself. In order to increase the difficulty a little bit, Bendak will use this armor against you in the Taris Dueling Ring in place of the armor he usually wears. For those who would like a little extra metal, the mod allows you to gain his armor through Zax at the expense of the bounty.
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS: Extract from the zip. The TSLPatcher patcher is used for easy file merging, so simply select it's icon after extracting to install the mod.
COMMENTS: In the years I've been playing KOTOR, Bendak seemed like someone who should be recognizable, but his texture would allow him to hide in a crowd of generic yellow Mandalorians with ease. Despite my little experience in photoshop, I was able to make a decent texture to make him unique (although when I get a little better in photoshop, I hope to have a better texture than what it is.)
BUGS: Depending on how far you are into the game, Bendak may still be the yellow mandalorian instead of the custom texture. If I have time, and it's possible, I'll try to work around that.
PERMISSIONS: This mod may be used without my permission, but if you use it in a mod, please give me credit. This mod may not be distributed on other sites without my express permission.
