WHAT'S THIS?
This is a ReShade preset that adds subtle contrast, color and sharpening boost for more pleasing visual experience.
This preset can also easily be used with every addon and sequel utilizing the same engine as the original game:
King's Bounty: Armored Princess,
King's Bounty: Crossworlds,
King's Bounty: Warriors of the North,
King's Bounty: Dark Side
INSTALLATION:
If you don't have ReShade installed (full installation):
- Extract .zip file contents into the game installation folder (the same directory as your kb.exe)
- Enjoy!
If you wish to install ReShade separately (preset-only):
- Extract .zip file contents into the game installation folder (the same directory as your kb.exe)
- Download reshade here, select kb.exe and select Direct3D 9 renderer, then choose SweetFX (should already be selected) and qUINT packages.
- Start the game and open ReShade menu with Home key, in the upper part of the appeared menu you should see the dropdown list, select the preset (kings_shades.ini) from there.
- Enjoy!
UNINSTALLATION:
Simply delete d3d9.dll, ReShade.ini, kings_shades.ini files and reshade-shaders folder from the game installation folder.
TIPS & TRIVIA:
- You can take .png screenshots retaining all the effects with Print Screen key. They will be saved into the game installation folder.
- You can disable/enable ReShade by pressing Scroll Lock key.
- This preset uses SMAA so additional antialiasing not needed.
