This mod adds the song Dream Catcher from Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE to Melody of Memory as a Proud Mode chart! More specifically, this is the short version of the song that plays in-game as opposed to the full length version. This chart replaces the field battle version of Don't Think Twice. Primarily for the song length.

This song was performed by the in-game characters Tsubasa Oribe (VA: Inori Minase) and Eleonora Yumizuru (VA: Ayane Sakura).

Big question no one asked but I'd like to answer: why? Why this song?

To be honest, I made this as a spur of the moment decision. I was working on another chart but got super sidetracked. Not to mention the song was a whole lot longer and more complex. As my first ever chart, I needed to do something simple. With the Snap-to-Beat functionality of ReChart, I speculated at the possibilities. I may have been mistaken, but while I was working on the other chart, I noticed that Snap-to-Beat was rounding to the nearest multiple of 10ms. This bummed me out having to manually replace half the notes of the 120bpm song (In 4/4 time, 500ms per quarter note, 125ms per 16th note). I didn't want to do this, so I put the chart down. A while later, I suddenly got the urge to maybe chart this song. I checked the BPM, which turned out to be 150. This means that in 4/4 time, every quarter note is 400ms with eighth notes lasting 200ms. Not only is it a clean multiple of 100ms(a multiple of 10ms), there aren't any 16th notes worth charting. So now I had a easy song to chart and the motivation to do it.

This also happens to be my favorite vocal track in Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE. If you're into that sorta Japanese pop music, the game has a great vocal soundtrack. It's also a good game. You should go play it if you haven't.

I can't say that I expect there to be a lot of overlap between the two fanbases. Even there isn't, maybe the novelty if a new chart during the infancy of custom charts for this game will help. Perhaps even help someone discover this game I love after maybe dismissing it after it's original media coverage.

Anyway, that's enough rambling from me. Please enjoy my custom chart! If you have any questions, issues, or constructive feedback, I would love to hear it! Thank you!

This custom chart would not be possible without the Re:Chart tool developed by WaterKH. Please send in your support!

Installation instructions:

1)   Unzip the .zip file and navigate to the customs files.

2)   Open a new file explorer window and locate the chart folder in your game install.
From your game install location, this will typically be found under:

   ...\KH_MoM\KINGDOM HEARTS Melody of Memory_Data\StreamingAssets\AssetBundles\regioncommon\languagecommon\music

So for me, I would find mine under

   G:\Epic\KH_MoM\KINGDOM HEARTS Melody of Memory_Data\StreamingAssets\AssetBundles\regioncommon\languagecommon\music

2.5) Back up the contents of this folder if you haven't already! Obviously you can
get everything back with a clean install, but it doesn't hurt to have the original
       files on hand.

3)   Place the file "music0000170" from the download into the chart folder in your game install.

4)   Locate the music folder in your game install. From your game install location,
this will typically be found under:

...\KH_MoM\KINGDOM HEARTS Melody of Memory_Data\StreamingAssets\Sead\music

Again, for me this would be under

G:\Epic\KH_MoM\KINGDOM HEARTS Melody of Memory_Data\StreamingAssets\Sead\music

4.5) Once again, if you haven't already, please back up the contents of this folder!

5)    Place the file "MUSIC0000170.win.sab.bytes" from the download into the music folder in your game install.
