About this mod

==Ability Rebalance==

Earn crucial abilities like Scan and Guard, as well as combo modifiers like Sliding Dash and Blitz by progressing the game instead of exclusively through level-ups, similar to Get Bonuses present in KH2 and KH3. This allows for a more interesting lv 1 playthrough since you will still earn key abilities as you complete story events.
To accomplish this, the unique accessories obtained after certain boss fights have been moved to the Postcard rewards from the Traverse Town mailbox. The location of the postcards themselves remains the same.
The mod also replaces 15 minor rewards & chests with AP Ups to compensate for the additional AP requirement in early game.




All remaining level-up abilities have been re-configured as well. Every ability will be earned by level 50 so that end-game grinding is not required to unlock all of Sora's combat options. Grinding higher levels for enough AP to equip every ability at once is still required.
Additionally, the 3rd and 4th copies of Combo Plus have been replaced with two additional Lucky Strikes to help reduce the tedious synth grinding present in the vanilla game.



==Other Tweaks==

Keyblade stats have been re-balanced to provide a better sense of progression. All keyblades are now a genuinely viable option when you earn them, instead of some being outclassed even before they are obtained. Some of the end-game Keyblades might seem weaker than their vanilla counterparts, but this allows for early game Keyblades to be proportionally more useful in late game for those who ignore stats and use a weapon based on aesthetics. Despite this, Ultima is still (overall) the strongest weapon, and Keyblades that were disappointing at the time you earn them (Oblivion, Diamond Dust, One Winged Angel) are now buffed.

In addition to base STR and MP values, Crit Chance and Crit Damge values have also been modified to follow a mroe logical progression & appearance-based performance. Large and chunky blades do higher Crit Damage, magic based blades have higher Crit Chance. Ultima excels in both categories. 




==Changes in V2==

-By popular request, Slapshot has been moved earlier in the game progression.
-Changes to Keyblades are now optional. Select the desired download, Alternate or Vanilla.
-More AP boosts are spread throughout the progression of the game.
-Level-Up stats have been slightly altered.

==Known Issues==

The Combo Master ability is still awarded through level up as well as through the bonus for defeating Behemoth in Hollow Bastion. This does not cause a conflict with the game progression or your save file, but you will have a duplicate in your ability list.

Some users report an issue with menu text disappearing when using this mod. A SOLUTION TO THIS HAS BEEN FOUND! Certain versions of the KHPC Patch Manager do not work well with KH1 and cause this corrupt text when applying the patch. To ensure the patching process goes smoothly, ensure you are using version 1.1.0 of the Patch Manager. (the above link has been updated to reflect this).

==Installation==

- Download the KHPC Patch Manager (available here: https://github.com/AntonioDePau/KHPCPatchManager/releases/tag/v1.1.0).
- Drag the included "xxx.kh1pcpatch" file onto the "KHPCPatchManager.exe" file.
- Navigate to "Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 and 2.5 ReMIX\Image" in your windows browser and drag the "en" folder ontop of the black command window.
- Play the game and enjoy!
