About this mod

This mod makes each and every form last a longer time than the measly 20/25/30 seconds we were originally given. Or also a very short time, if you want. Or also an infinite time, if you wish. A whole assortment of versions, really! Read the description for more info!

OVERVIEW

Okay, first of all, before I explain what all the different versions do, you need to know all about forms in the vanilla experience in order to understand what this mod changes. Many people think all forms last pretty much the same time, which is very wrong. Let me list the exact length of every form:
  • Spellweaver, Double Arrowguns, Magic Launcher, Mirage Staff, Hunny Blasters, Hunny Launcher: 20 seconds.
  • Drill Punch, Twin Yo-Yos, Blizzard Blades, Clock Drill: 25 seconds.
  • The rest: 30 seconds. This group includes Rage Form and Wayfinder for Aqua. About the latter: if you didn't know already, Wayfinder was of course not 30 seconds long in KH0.2, but much shorter, and it's barely usable in KH3. You need to hack Mickey into your party with Aqua as the leader to use it, it appears as a blank Situation Command, it's missing its logo above the Command menu and you can't use its finisher. It's still absurdly overpowered because it grants iframes throughout its entire combo, so you can just mindlessly mash and destroy your enemy for a whopping 30 secs.


MOD VERSIONS, EXPLAINED
[04/01/2023] Added an infinite version compatible with Animation Enhancement Overhaul. Check out the update files!

* 1.2 update notes:  Added new files for Infinite Links and Attractions.

* 1.1 update notes: I've expanded a bit the scope of this mod with new versions, though I reuploaded the older ones as well (both the 2 Min and Infinite Versions). These reuploaded versions now also affect Spellweaver and Wayfinder the same as the rest of the forms. All to make each version more streamlined and homogeneous.

With that said, I can now briefly introduce the different versions of this mod:
  • Infinite Version: the most busted version. Makes all forms last for near-infinity (namely, 100000 seconds = 27.77 hours), including Rage Form, Spellweaver and Wayfinder.
  • 2 Min Version: the version mainly advertised for this mod, which makes all forms 2 minutes long (including Rage Form, Spellweaver and Wayfinder).
  • 60 Sec Version: exactly the same as the 2 Min Version but, y'know, they're all 60 seconds now. A little lower on the busted scale. Includes Rage Form, Spellweaver and Wayfinder.
  • 30 Sec Version: a version somewhat faithful to the original experience, granting a small boost that won't break difficulty. It puts all forms on a level playing field by making them 30 seconds long. Includes Rage Form, Spellweaver and Wayfinder.
  • 10 Sec Version: this version is also absolutely busted. Only against the player. For the hardcore ones out there, a new difficulty mode altogether! Guess what: includes Rage Form, Spellweaver and Wayfinder.
  • Custom Versions: they are all contained in the Optional Files section. They consist of any of the former versions listed plus a few changes added here and there, related or not to the intents and purposes of this mod. They can be there as ideas of mine, as requests or as compatibility patches of sorts for other mods. You can go to said section to check each one out.

Finally, the last files are Infinite Links and Infinite Attractions. They're pretty self-explanatory! You can use both of these files at the same time with no problem, as well as alongside any one of the files described above.

ADDITIONAL DETAILS

About compatibility
this mod will probably not work if any of your mods edit the TresCmdData file (which is also why you can only have ONE Formchange length version active at a time, as they're all variants of the same file). If so, you'll have to try to remove mods, figure out which of them are the conflict and/or rename my file with "zzzzz" at the beginning so it loads last. Some conflict examples: Critical Mode+, Lowered Spell Cost.


About installation: either do it with the mod manager or manually place the pak files within your ~mods folder. For the latter method, go to Program files/Epic Games/KH_3/KINGDOM HEARTS III/Content/Paks. If there are no more folders inside Paks, create a folder named ~mods (just like I wrote it). After creating it or if it's already there, simply place your pak file within your ~mods folder.
