About this mod

Have you ever wanted to fully stack wizards ruse and damage syphon for that immortal mage build? Well, now you can! This mod distributes 10 equipment and accessory slots throughout the games bonus rewards, while setting your Strength, Magic, and Defense to 10. With your stats only increasing through boosts and gear, you'll have to optimize here.

This mod is something of a rebalancer. Your stats start off at 10, except for AP, which starts at 32 and raises by 2 each level. I've assigned a bunch of equipment and accessory slots through bonus rewards, you should have 10 of each awarded by the end of remind. Some item slots and abilities have been moved slightly, so that you don't have levels where you're getting 4 or 5 things at once, but there shouldn't be anything missing overall. There might be an extra item slot or two, but I'd have to go through it all again to make sure.

The idea with this is to create a more loadout focused playthrough. Your stats can only increase through stat boosts and equipment, but unless you heavily grind for synthesis items, it's not going to make much of a difference. You're going to have to think about how the abilities on your accessories work together, and how best to distribute resistance increasing gear.

I have now playtested this through Re:mind, haven't done the limit cut fights yet. There's a hard limit for armor, accessory, and item slots of 8, so you'll max out around Pirates. Monstropolis now awards an accessory and armor slot appropriately. The game is slightly more difficult early on, and gets significantly easier later. Once you get the mickey clasp, spamming spells becomes ridiculously overpowered with max wizards ruse and syphons. The last few fights in Re:mind become difficult again, and limit cut will likely be more challenging.

I'm trying to see if there's a way to up the limit, but I'm pretty sure it's not realistically feasible. Next step for the mod is rebalancing equipment, mostly lowering stats and changing/adding abilities. Ideally I'd like this mod to be a more challenging playthrough overall. Bugfix for Monstropolis will be out soon.

This mod uses TresVBonusData and p_ex001_LevelUpData, and will conflict with any mod that modifies either of those files. There is an alternate version in Optional Files that only has the bonus levels, so you can use this with other level up reward mods.
