    It says in the description that it should only save to slot #1, but the mod overwrote my save in slot 3.

      It will overwrite the first save made. The description needs correction.

    For anyone having trouble getting this to work using External LuaBackend, here's exactly how you need to change the .lua file.  Go to the block of text that looks like this:
    local RootPath = SCRIPT_PATH
    RootPath = RootPath:gsub("scripts", "") .. "Epic Games Store/" .. tostring(EPIC_ID) .. "/KHIIFM.png"

    Delete that whole block of text and replace it with:local RootPath = 'C:/Users/USERNAME/Documents/KINGDOM HEARTS HD 1.5+2.5 ReMIX/Epic Games Store/EPIC_ID_NUMBER/KHIIFM.png'

    Make sure to replace USERNAME AND EPIC_ID_NUMBER with your own info.  It MUST be in single quotes, and it MUST use forward slashes!

    could we get some clarification on how to install this for external, please? i cannot for the life of me figure out what im doing wrong or where im supposed to paste this line. a photo would help a ton

      Same issue here, script initializes with no issues but autosaves do not happen.

      Nope, nevermind, I got it! It was user error. I've made a new post showing exactly what it should look like.

    I have been having some trouble with the 'EPIC_ID' Folder ID. I am pretty sure I have it correct, but for some reason the Auto Save feature has not been working. 

    A photo or some clarification would greatly help (:

    I'm having an issue and I'm not sure if I didn't install it properly or if its a bug. The Lua console gives an error every time it tries to make an autosave. It also prevents me from manually saving at all. I'm using internal luabackend and seems to be installed correctly so I'm at a loss. 

    Edit: Avast firewall was blocking the game from saving. Making an exception let me save normally and the mod works now. Only saves to the second slot however. not a big deal but just something that happened for whatever reason

    I have a question regarding the ''An autosave is done every three room transitions and every world transition.'', does this mean this could theoretically save between Demyx and FF fights, or is that entire thing not counted as a room transition.
    Just curious, will try the mod regardless, because of crashes. Thanks for your work!

      If you manage it to get the transition to be the third, it will. But the event will not trigger if you reload, most likely causing a softlock.

    Old thread was getting a bit long. Yea yesterday I beat Marluxia, took a break (closed game), played through Christmas Town (2nd time) without saving until the end, and today I played through Pride Land without saving until the end and my autosave is way back when I fought Marluxia it's inside "Castle Oblivion"
     so it's softlocked. http://prntscr.com/12fei20

    Can confirm this mod does not work.

    Installed Internal version
    Test 1: Slot 1 save corrupted
    Test 2(Beast's castle): Infinite loading screen
    Test 3(Beast's castle): Infinite loading screen
    Test 4(Hollow Bastion): Infinite loading screen

    Uninstalled to remove risk of entire save file corruption.

      A bug has been located that causes this issue and has been eliminated. Thanks for the report.
      Funnily enough, this only happens with the External version most of the time.
      It is fixed and an update will be pushed out shortly.

      Can confirm mod works now and even shows the location, munny, and time.
      Edit: Nevermind. The mod works but I played for about 3 hours and it never autosaved again... relaunched game, ran through some rooms, and it made another autosave. Hopefully that it was a one time thing and will start to autosave like normal now?

      Hmm... I will look into this. BETA mods have a tendency to be like this.

      EDIT: I am unable to reproduce this. BUT if you save in game, it will invalidate the autosave.
      That may be the reason. I am unable to fix this since it's a game quirk.

      Even if I save into the 2nd slot? If so that's probably the issue. I save incredibly often. Played for a few hours yesterday and it only autosaved once or twice a believe.
      Shame it kind of invalidates the mod :\. I trust my manual saving a lot more.

      That is the thing. The game stores Saves in memory and there is no easy way of accessing them besides the current state of a save.
      It does invalidate the AutoSave, but only when you save. The point of the autosave is to save you from oblivion when the game decides to crash and what not. Of course manual saves should be trusted more.

      P.S. I have been using the script for a few days now, and it saved me 3 times when it crashed after Data Org fights, fwiw.

      Well I mean I just got to Tron and so far the game has a save point every 2-3 doors anyways. Crashed around 6 times in my entire playthrough and all of them have been a maximum of 3 doors away. Every single crash has been caused by me using Lock On so if it's been a while since a save point (Pride Land made me nervous) I just stop locking on to targets.

      Hopefully someone figures out a way to fix this if it's even possible. Would probably require a lot of work though.
