About this mod

Twice the materials, twice the potion yield. (with some caveats)

About
I have duplicated all potion recipes in the game and created new "Plenteous" recipes that use twice the materials and yield twice the potions. However, there are some caveats to be aware of:

Material Adjustments: I can't simply double the required materials in these new recipes because the game doesn't recognize this change. Each vanilla recipe has a built-in margin of error, so I had to swap the base liquid of the vanilla recipe to activate the "Plenteous" version.
  • If the vanilla recipe requires Water, swap it for Oil and double the materials.
  • If the vanilla recipe requires Oil, swap it for Water and double the materials.
  • If the vanilla recipe requires Wine, swap it for Spirit and double the materials.
  • If the vanilla recipe requires Spirit, swap it for Wine and double the materials.
This method allows the game to correctly identify which recipe you're trying to craft while maintaining a margin of error for all recipes.

Potion Yield and Brewing Quality: Due to the way the game calculates potion quantity and brewing quality, I don't have full control over the exact number of potions produced—I simply doubled the variables "MaxYield" values. (1.0.1: Tweaked the MaxYield to better reflect the "double yield.")
  • Poor brewing (many preparation mistakes) will result in fewer potions, similar to the standard recipe.
  • Normal brewing will yield double the potions.
  • Excellent brewing may yield more than double.
All factors influence the final potion quantity, including Alchemy level, perks, material quantity, and brewing quality.

Experience: 1.0.1: Increase the experience gained from these recipes by a factor of x2. But keep in mind that everything impacts the final XP, with every step in the brewing process influencing the amount of experience gained.

Recipe Book: The new "Plenteous" recipes will be added to the final pages of the recipe book. On the right page of each recipe, there is always a detailed illustration of the potion-making process. However, these pages are actually textures, including the quantities written on them. To avoid confusion, I replaced these illustrations with a generic image of alchemists working, which I found in the game files, since the texture format does not allow for direct editing of quantities.

Support: I had to redo many aspects of this mod to make it work properly, especially the XML for the <AlchemyRecipes>, which is a bit convoluted. I wasn't able to test every single recipe and view every single page in the book, so if anything is wrong (whether it's a typo or functionality issue), please let me know, and I'll fix it right away.

TL;DR - How to Use
Use the Plenteous version of a recipe by swapping the base liquid:
  • Water → Oil
  • Oil → Water
  • Wine → Spirit
  • Spirit → Wine
Then, double the required ingredients.
✔ If brewed correctly, you’ll get twice the potions (or more with perfect execution).
✖ Mistakes will reduce the yield, similar to standard recipes.
Alchemy level, perks, and brewing quality affect the final quantity
