About this mod

I don't like that visible rendering of grass and having ultra settings on, having sharp surrouding but at the same time seeing an ugly terrain texture 30 meters away and appearing grass from nowhere. In this file you have some tweaks that let the game render it much further.

Requirements
Permissions and credits
This user preset requires the Optiscaler mod from Mallakye1976, other way you will get a significant fps loss. I think the grass meshes are the most demanding visual for this game and yet, the most important factor to not disturb the immersion. Other lod changes can be quite much ignored, but big chunks of a grass, rendering in front of our eyes just 30 meters away, is awful and immersion breaking. I couldn't find anything that improves the raw ground texture seen from far away, there is some command but it does render more detailed ground only to a specific extent and is limited by also something else that I couldn't find.

With grass meshes, there is a limiting command that sets a border even if you set other cvar commands very high and most cfg presets lack that command, and which is not put in any cvar.cfg in the Enginepak file (or I am blind).

e_MergedMeshesActiveDist  - that is the limiting factor.

e_MergedMeshesPool - that is how much of the meshes will be rendered. The vanilla ultra setting is on 16000, on my video you see the value of 40 000, as that is in my opinion a reasonable distance you don't notice grasschunks pop ups that much anymore.

If you happen to have too low frame rate, just balance the first or the second command to your liking of what distance you consider just fair enough.

Other mods that i use are propably ones that you use, so the whole checker90 collection and some other modifications and the: Enhanced Global Illumination and Lighting by vktrfly. I did use the Jarraxx's dynamic fog mod but it does change abrupt and breaks the immersion also, what i regret because of the atmosphere it brings.

For the in-game settings just follow the Optiscalermod guide. My cfg file should be put of course in the base game folder.

This present contains some other settings too, but you can feel free to remove it if you find better settings or values, the goal is to show that we have a playable game with optiscaler and a IMO a reasonable view distance of things that apper in front of us that can break the whole fun immersing into the game.
