How to Remove Characters

Manual Method:
Decompress the znpcoverhaul.pak file using your preferred software (e.g., 7zip, WinRAR, or Windows Explorer).
Navigate to this folder:
\znpcoverhaul\data\Objects\characters\humans\female\head
Double-check the folder structure matches this exactly. If you accidentally decompressed it into its own subfolder. It shouldn't look like this for example:\znpcoverhaul\data\znpcoverhaul\Objects...

Inside the head folder, search for *.txt files. Every edited character has a name in a .txt file tied to its head folder—except for Katherine and Rosa, since those are obvious.
Note: Starting with version 1.3, I might swap .txt files for JPG images to make it easier to match numbered head folders to their appearances.
Delete any f_head_ folder for characters you want to keep unedited.
Go back to \znpcoverhaul\data
Compress the Objects folder. I recommend using Windows Explorer’s built-in method: right-click Objects > Send to > Compressed (zipped) folder. (Other tools like 7zip can sometimes cause errors that stop KCD2 from reading the file.)
Rename objects.zip to znpcoverhaul.pak.
Launch the game.
If it doesn’t work, you probably messed up somewhere. Check the kcd.log file in the game’s root folder: \Kingdom Come Deliverance 2\kcd.log
Mod Managers:
Follow the same steps as above, but you might not need to decompress or compress manually—it depends on your mod manager’s setup and how it handles files.

IMPORTANT:
Removing characters this way will cause neck seams on those NPCs. To fix this, do the following:
Download my nude mod here: KCD Nude Mod
For the lazy: Install the main file, and the neck seam issue will be gone. But heads-up—the nude mod makes women fully naked when they sleep or if you rob them.
If you don’t want that, use the same method as above to delete the entire Libs folder here: \xnude\data\Libs
Final Note:
Some might wonder, “Why not just offer each NPC edit as a standalone install instead of an all in one package?”
Simple: I tweak and fine tune characters with every update. Keeping track of that and uploading separate revisions for each NPC would take way too much time. I do this for fun. If it starts feeling like a job, I’ll probably lose the motivation to keep updating this mod.
