Could not load your saves. I lack 2 DLC. Women's lot and Amorous adv. ... PS: but this set always works: Use Bane poison in Piercing arrows and Dollmaker on your mace.
I bought the Royal Edition from GoG, sorry if you can't load my saves. Already did as you suggested (always have poisoned arrow and poisoned (DollMaker) Mace), but...got ambushed so quickly that time, and can't shoot arrow to them... (Pernach kinda do no damage to them). I finally able to defeat them using Stealth Kill...The first time tho...using horse archery, and lose 1 guy loot...
With my Scout perk I usually spot them first and thus attack first, although I have to pay 100Gr at church for murdering them. I shoot two closest ones with Bane and then backpedal all the time with either Bastard or Mace, depending on type of weapons they are armed with. Bastard for a long reach. Some people use horse archery; they cannot outrun your riding.
