About this mod

No more sunny rain storms. This mod removes the visual and sound effects of rain, effectively disabling it. Updated for 1.9.0+.

Permissions and credits
NOTE: This only disables the visual and sound effects of rain. As far as the game is concerned (e.g., Rain Man perk), rain will still happen normally you just won't be able to see or hear it.

In its current state, the game's weather seems quite broken. Whether it's a bright sunny day or a clear night, more often than not it's raining. Occasionally it will even rain inside buildings. Personally,  I think the rain sounds can be obnoxiously loud too. This mod aims to remedy these problems until they're hopefully fixed in a patch or someone more knowledgeable about modding the game finds a better solution. This mod should also remove the performance impact of rain.

INSTALLATION:

1. Pick ONE version of the mod
2. Download and extract the mod
3. Place the NoMoreRain folder into the game's 'Mods' directory (e.g., "Steam\steamapps\common\KingdomComeDeliverance\Mods"). If you don't have this folder, create it.

UNINSTALL:

1. Delete the NoMoreRain folder from the game's 'Mods' directory

COMPATIBILITY:

Unless you're using other mods that modify the game's sound effects, you don't need to worry about compatibility. Mods that make changes to Libs\GameAudio\special.xml in GameData.pak aren't compatible with the standard version of the mod. If you're having issues using this mod and another mod at the same time, leave a comment and I'll see about making a compatible version.

Versions compatible with mods known to have issues can be found in the optional files section.

OTHER NOTES:

You can toggle the visual effects of rain using the console command r_Rain = 0 (off) or 1 (on). This can be useful if you're using the Rain Man perk and need to know if it's raining.
Thunder and lightning should will still happen if it's storming.
Cutscenes aren't affected by this.
