mod works like a charm. HUD does not re-appear for me when opening menus like some people have said. now I can fully immerse myself in KCD. many thanks :)
I mean mod author basically said 'too lazy to make it not stay' and abandoned the mod but still put more effort into making the damn thing in the first place because just copy pasting the commands was too inconvenient, ironic, why finish your work when you could just leave it half-way right?
I got this to bring hud back because since latest kcd update [Auto Third Person Riding] keeps making my hud disappear everytime i mount, command console logs a [g_showhud 0] command, i have type [g_showhud 1] to get it back.
Pressing this mods keybind just makes my hud disappear only, and console shows [g_showhud 0, g_showhud 0, g_showhud 0, g_showhud 0, g_showhud 0] (for every press) ;-;
Im going to try redownloading [Auto Third Person Riding] i guess?
Yes, it is like that. I only call engine/game commands, using a keybind, with this mod. Initially this mod was made to hide my hud for screenshots and I was and still am ok with the way it works. The different versions are only made because I could, wanted and thought someone may preferes one over the other.
I guess it would be possible to make it persist, if everytime the command "whateverHUDelement 0" is called, a true/false variable (boolean) gets stored and after closing a game menu a check gets done to see if "whateverHUDelement 0" is "true", if it is true it calls the command again.
In my opinion, it's not worth the effort to do so ...so I don't do it. :) Cheers
P.S.: Sry, for the late answer. P.P.S.: It's astonishing this mod still works btw., I made this for game version 1.9.1C !
Hi, I love this mod, I would like to know if it is possible to bring back hud pressing quick the same key instead of hold for a bit or make the delay faster, thank you!
Awesome, really appreciate it. I also found out that this mod somehow conflicts the 'X' key which makes Henry can't dismount horses. Just let you know.
Using MadHUDExtRet and HUD elements reappear after opening and exiting any game menu. Every time I want to check my inventory or something I have to keep disabling the compass and stats bar. Is this how it's supposed to be?

I love this mod, absolutely fantastic. Still works like a charm. I'm using the ext version. Would you possibly consider adding wh_ui_showcursor 0 to it also, please?
Press and hold the same button you used to hide the hud till it shows up again. I have put the same trigger delay like it needs to bring up the torch. It works for sure. Make sure you don't have set a keybind for the same thing in your "user.cfg". Try to bind a different key, maybe it's your keyboard? Cheers

How can I assign the command to gamepad-buttons?
Thanks a lot.
Yes, I will ...probably this weekend.

Yes, I would consider to add this command ...ok, I decided to do so.
Find "MadHUDExtRet" in the download section: "main files".
