About this mod

You're tired of the long startup? You don't want to look 20 seconds at blackness? This short, epic Intro is a first proper attempt to solve this issue.

TiSoBrs Epic Intro Replacement

Updated version here:
TiSoBrs EPIC Intro Replacement - UPDATED at Kingdom Come: Deliverance Nexus - Mods and community (nexusmods.com)
(Please endorse my original one as well, a'ight?)

Description:

This mod entirely replaces the current intros (Deepsilver, CryEngine, etc) with a proper, shorter and more epic one. The duration fits perfectly for the engine to load everything up and ready to play. This is just a brief try, more like a concept about replacing ingame cutscenes and the intro at all. I know it comes with a low res. I know this definitely can be done better. I promise, I'll continue working on this mod. Feel free to share your ideas in the comment section with me.

Like the original intro, there will be black bars left and right, if you're using an ultrawide setup. WQHD- and 4k-versions will be added soon.

Please remember to endorse the mod, if it suits you - I need that kind of feedback to see if it's worth to put more time in it.

Installation:
Simply place "zzz_EpicIntro.pak" into \KingdomComeDeliverance\Data and boot up the game.

Uninstallation:
Delete the "zzz_EpicIntro.pak". That's it.

Trivia:
Of course, there will be better versions soon. I put dozens sleepless nights into this replacement mod. I had to solve many issues regarding the fitting encoding, placement, etc. Since I solved them, I can completely focus on the quality and content itself now. If there's any question feel free to ask me directly.

If you're more into simply skipping everything, check out Woulves "Skip Intro Videos"-Mod!

Known issues:
The black bars appear to be grey instead of black. Also the resolution is not really high. It's possible - due to your hardware - that the intro ends a few seconds before the menu completely loaded up.  I'm going to fix this in the next version. Besides that, there are no known issues.
