About this mod
Saddles have actual durability so that they aren't completely destroyed in one hit to the horse.

Yep. Yep, I'm sure. I thought I saw something in the shrubs up ahead, and now Mutt is growling. It's a bandit ambush.
Am I worried for my life? Pfft. Worried about putting a Merciful achievement at risk? Maybe in some future playthrough. But right now, I'm worried about Bucephalus and his sweet, sweet saddle.
For reasons beyond mortal understanding, the KCD devs gave saddles precisely zero durability. Hence, they become ruined if someone so much as sneezes nearby (costing a cool 1.1k to fix for a noble 4-bag saddle). With this mod installed, they now have the same durability as a piece of leather armor.
Rejoice!
TECHNICAL BITS
Install this as you would any other KCD mod - unzip it to the mods folder that lives within the top-level KCD game folder (or first create that mods folder if it doesn't already exist). Saddles Have Durability uses the newer, best practice method of table patching, so it targets only the game data it means to and nothing more instead of replacing tables outright, thereby promoting maximum compatibility with other mods.
In terms of compatibility with other mods, I used the zzz_ mod folder naming trick to force this mod's table patches to default to late loading and thereby take priority. It changes only the armor records for the twenty or so saddles in the game in order to add durability to them.
