Honestly, when I made the Pebbles mod I wasn't expecting it to spawn a series of sorts of mods about making different horses the best in the game. But people make simple, easy to fullfill requests and I can't but obligue, after all, the nexus community has provided me with countless mods for different games that I thoroughly enjoy and if I can give back something, as little it might be, to this community how couldn't I? But enough of my blabbering, here's the meat and potatoes of this mod:
DESCRIPTION
This mod makes Epona, the easter egg horse fomr the famous Zelda saga, the best horse in the game, matching its stats to best horse available in each category, so:
-Speed: As fast as Pegasus/Shadowfax/Shadowmere
-Capacity: As beefy as Trojan/Shadowmere
-Courage: As brave as Khantaka/Agro
-Stamina: As tiredless as Chollima
Where can I get this horse?
Buy it from Zora at the Neuhof stables.
INSTALLATION
Unpack the file and copy the folder Epona_is_the_best_horse in your mods folder in the game.
POSSIBLE ISSUES AND COMPATIBILITY
This mod is in PTF format and overrides just one row in the soul.xml file, so you shouldn't have compatibility issues with any other mod, unless you're using a mod that overhauls npcs and as such, overrides the entire soul.xml file. If so, simply rename the Epona_is_the_best_horse to somethin like zzzzZZZ_epona_is_the_best_horse or so, to ensure this mod loads last, or at least, after any overhauling mod or old format mod you might be using.
I test all my mods before uploading (where do you think the screenshots come form?) so it works. If it's not working for you, check whatever setup you have in your current mod folder for incompatibilities. It's impossible for me to know which mods are you running without you telling me. This should be a given, but still...
