This mod generally is not super effective for those of you looking for a dedicated steadfast overhaul of the games Combat System.
The Developers of the game have gone out of their way to vastly improve upon the Combat through a series of updates since the games launch. Before the game stopped getting updates so that could focus more on the other games they were developing,
Essentially, the combat now is much more bearable and generally doesn't require mods to fix it.
Another problem with this is the removal of Master Strike. The way the games portrays it is a little cheesy but I don't think it warrants a complete removal. Master Strikes are just another term for gaining control over your Opponents weapon and controlling their movement. It's not unrealistic at all as many Sword styles rely on Movement Control and Positioning.
Thank you so much for this mod. I prefer it to BCAIC because while it's cool on paper, it just replaces non-stop Master Strikes with non-stop dodges and perfect parries. In vanilla KCD, I can pull off a combo every ~6 tries. With BCAIC, almost never. With BC, every ~3 tries.
I've also increased the AI's aggressiveness and decreased perfect parry window from the mod's default settings (non-hardcore difficulty) so combat is really dynamic and skillful.
Never been able to make the "no slo-mo" to work tho, I used No Mo' Slow Mo for that.
And yeah, mod go into "...\Steam\steamapps\common\KingdomComeDeliverance\Mods". No need to rename it. If the slow-mo part doesn't work for you, it doesn't mean that the whole mod is not working. Just use the mod I linked previously.
that's the folder with all your steam games inside. isn't it supposed to go into the common\KingdomComeDeliverance\mods folder??? also, i'm using the Lite version that only removes masterstrikes
How can i change the master strike timing in your mod? I would like to increase the time very slightly, cuz it requires a lot of concentration to perform by myself. 1 master strike on 20 simple strikes roughly
Hi . I think you are a bit light on the mod description.
Firstly the installation instructions: I'm pretty certain nothing is going to happen if you just unzip that folder into steam/common. Obviously that's not where the game is.
I tried installing with assumption that it needs to be placed into the mod folder, just like all the others, but I still get slow motion blocks which I take as a sign that it doesn't work.
Does it require a separate installation or the 'no mo slo mo'?
Is the mod to go into 'mods' folder or somewhere else?
If it needs to go into 'mods' folder then the folder name cannot have spaces i.e. zeeb_better_combat.
Unless the lite version requires a new play-through (didn't see anything in the description or any pinned comment suggesting this), it only removes the PLAYERS ability to master strike. The AI will still spam them.
I can't understand, how i need to install this mod? Tried to extract .pak file into Data folder, and just to extract whole folder into "common" folder
UPD: No, no, it's working. I thought it's not cause of working slow mo', but when i installed mod that removes it, i understood that all fine. Great mod, battles will be more interesting now.
For people who don't understand, how to install (as me): just use mod manager
About to start a new play through with a complete revamp of combat and this is the cherry on top.
Great mod.
I like how you modified the attack intervals and reaction times, especially with multiple enemies. I always felt that enemies attack too slow, especially when in larger numbers. You'd expect them to grow bolder and more aggressive with more of them. I get why the devs made them attack slower, the more of them there are, but it's kinda immersion breaking when they take turns. Almost like a movie.
Yeah, when you've played the game enough it does become extremely easy and I understand why the devs didn't want that in their game on release, would've scared a lot of people away from the title. At least they let us mod it in, would've preferred it if they added options into the game itself in the form of difficulty parameters but it is what it is.
This actually makes the combat enjoyable. No more am I to use the "turtle and masterstrike" technique because the AI no longer has stupid unavoidable counterattacks. Thanks!

Can you please be a little more specific?

Glad you enjoyed the mod!
