Hello,

This mod is a fruit of passion for the game. All introduced changes were made by a code-savy modder, who has over 400 hours in the game and consulted his conclusions with other KAKT passionates to come up with fundamental changes for the game mechanics and skills.

Main goals of the mod are:
  • (done) General rebalance of the classes, skills and items in a way that makes it so "cheese tactics" and overall OP combos require a proper setup and don't easily trivialize the Hardest Difficulty challenge of the game or circumvent important game mechanics.
  • (done) Diminish the impact of AP generation from kills by making AP pools bigger, while increasing AP costs for nearly all skills.
  • (done) Overhaul or improve underperforming or strictly useless skills and passives to provide meaningful, fun and engaging gameplay.
  • (done) Improve Poison, Bleed and Burning damage, and make the secondary effects of Bleed and Poison provide meaningful tactical advantages and interactive mechanics.
  • (done) Introduce status logic. Eg. Burning status removes Chilled and Freeze and vice-versa.
  • (done) Allow for much more variety of viable playstyles and builds for the hard and very hard game difficulty.
  • (done) Vastly increase the importance of positioning and hero teamwork/synergies in battles as a result of mentioned changes as a whole.
  • (done) Bringing many Heroes up to par by either updating their skill kits or assigning / reinforcing unique identities;

Character Overhauls Progress:
Please note that all characters have been altered by this modification in a consistent, well thought-out way. There were simply some heroes, or even entire classes, that just begged to be made more unique, fun to play and engaging, while some simply begged to be made relevant.

Update 1: Sir Bedivere, The Plated Berserker
Sir Bedivere has been completely overhauled from the ground up. Just as his portrait suggest, he is a vanguard that is trained to wear heavy plate armor. He loses his ability to hide, but assumes a champion-like identity of a front-line hero.
He can still specialize in traps, but close combat is where he shines the most. He can use devastating combination of Counter attack, Vengeance and Mock ability and can be played in a high-risk-high-reward playstyle with proper utilization of the newly overhauled Vengeance upgrades.
Similarly to champions, he specializes in causing bleeding wounds rather than poisoning his enemies.
Bring the "Pain Train" to your enemies by using build in Juggernaut into his reworked Sprint, which allows him some very satisfying maneuvers.
Execute your adversaries with improved Death Strike.




Update 2: Sir Geraint, The Elemental Archer
Overhaul has greatly reinforced his identity by giving more access to elemental based skills, both ice and lightning.
He is also the marksman pioneer of trap master and can be specialized for traps - with access to newly added Ice trap and access to improved Bear Trap and Lightning trap.
Sir Geraint is also the first Marksman that can deploy a half cover by himself at a low cost of AP, which should allow him to better utilize Cover Expert Passive.
Most of his skills and passives have been changed or improved in a meaningful way to finally provide a frictionless fun rocking a Marksman.
(Naturally, other heroes sharing skills with Sir Geraint also had their instances reworked and improved)
Brand new skills with unique effects: Ice Arrow, Ice Trap, Ice Blockade


Update 3: Dawn of the Champions
Biggest update yet. Adjust and overhauls the entire Champion rooster. Introduces new skills, passives and interesting gameplay mechanics to make the Champion experience overall more enjoyable, tactical and unique for each Hero.

Mod Installation:
1. Before installation, make a backup of your "Cfg", "Strings" and "UI" folders.
2. Copy the contents of "KAKT- Enhanced Edition\King Arthur Knight's Tale" folder to SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\King Arthur Knight's Tale and OVERWRITE EVERYTHING.
3. Launch the game.
4. Reskill the overhauled heroes you would like to use.
5. Enjoy and endorse if you like the mod ;).

To uninstall the mode:
1. Copy and OVERWRITE all the files you backed up before installation.
2. Alternatively, just reinstall the game.

Compatibility:
Compatible with the Skirmishes Update DLCs (23.11.2022)
This mod is INCOMPATIBLE with any other mod that changes contents of Cfg or Strings folders of the game.
