I had to uninstall the mod after 90 ingame days of losing Shek rep. took me a long time to figure out the source of the problem. I noticed while i travel around Shek towns i kept losing rep slowly but surely. Turns out random Shek citizens and guards are challenging me to a duel or just taunting me and since thers no Dialogue option i just end up being seen as a coward and lose -1 shek rep every time. Regardless if it was intended or not its a game breaking issue for me cause i can do nothing about it.
I'm not using Kaizo and I have exactly the same problem. I"m using reactive world and expanded wasteland though. I don't think this happened in vanilla (thought it might). I tried a number of ways to resolve it, you cannot interact with the npc at all, and if you attack you will bring the whole city down on you, that seems S.A.F. Resolution: Open FCS, changed the value for "dialogue->duel shek" to 0 instead of -1.
So this is what has been going on. One day their nation just hated me XD I'm just gonna assume every faction is mean to the other races and ONLY send matching characters.
So that Okran's Shield crash still exists? I've been wanting to get back into playing Kenshi with some game-improving mods this time, but that's a pretty critical bug.
Really late reply to this but you should just be able to drop the folder named "Kaizo" into the "mods" folder in your install directory (wherever you installed Kenshi to).
Okay if you go near Okran's Shield the game will crash. I think I have manage to solve my problem. What I did was download Kaizov20 and use it to get to Okran's Shield (it won't crash this way) but v20 is outdated so save your game inside Okran's Shield, exit the game, install the newest version of Kaizo and load your saved file. Done, your're inside Okran's Shield now, do whatever you want to do there and remember to always backup your saves before changing mods. P.D. After some tests, I have noticed that if you leave Okran's Shield (far enough to unload the entire area) and go back the game crashed again but swapping versions of Kaizo as stated above stills solves the problem temporarily. Alternatively, you can leave a character there to keep the area loaded.
I have the SAME ISSUE. Okran's Shield is a NO go. (Tested with Kaizo as my only mod). I think the mod changes some structure or something and the game just crashes

Resolution: Open FCS, changed the value for "dialogue->duel shek" to 0 instead of -1.
