Wastelanders Megamod is a land expansion, hopefully community contributed navmesh project, and reactive world mod that adds a lot of content. Currently it's all one package but I'll probably break it up so people can choose what they actually want.

Quick note about ManicRed: It's a reskin of DarkUI. I'm turning it into its own entity but it isn't entirely its own thing yet. If the owner of DarkUI sees this and would like me to remove it from my mod until I replace all DarkUI entities then I'd be happy to do so. Also, check out DarkUI. It's great.

Copied and pasted this a few times so it is all broken up and junk. I'll fix it later.

Installation: Use7-Zip to extract the contents to the main Kenshi folder. Back up your data
beforehand.

It probably needs to go first in your modorder so other mods override it. If you don't want the mod then just uncheck it
and use the Island and mesh.


Navmesh mod: Need your help. Send me imagescircling areas where the nav mesh is screwed up and I'll regenerate that area and include it. I have a bot to generate the navmesh but the game crashes if you load too much stuff. I've regenerated a lot but there are several potential issues with this as well.

Island: You need the mesh to use the islandbut you don't need the island to use the mesh. I'll upload it separately later. If you'd like another landmass somewhere I'd be happy to add it! I don't recommend making your own island though because if everyone starts doing that then noone can use any mods that add land.. because they don't work together.

Wastelanders: You can start the main quest ifyou talk to Tinfist in spring and ask about cat-lon. This is an alternative to killing him. The quest doesn't work and breaks at some point but it takes a long time to test it and yeah. Many other things don't work or aren't fully integrated yet. I've spent a majority of the time spent on this over the last ~3 months trying to create/fix the main quest. There are also probably things that the mod does that I haven't even mentioned. It's my personal mod and thus adds functionality that I wanted.

If anyone would like to help me create thisthen I'm open to that but I will have the final word over everything. 

Things probably not mentioned below the linebut I didn't reread/proof it:

New Island: Egypt and Japan. I have plans forit but haven't done anything with it yet.

Egypt is going to be an entire country/empireand will have quests that intertwine with Wastelanders. This is going to take a
lot of work. I'm really looking forward to never finishing it.

Okay, so I wrote this way back in ~december. I also accidentally deleted almost everything once and didn't realize until after I saved the mod. A lot has changed and a lot of things aren't/weren't possible. I've updated part of the text one time (right now) since then.

I’m nowhere near done with this mod but this is the first release.
 
Things this mod does:
Increases squad/faction/etc sizes
Slaves are recruitable
Adds new story/lore content. Mostly endgame stuff becauseI’d like to make the game last longer and other than new factions and things making default lore more fun/frequent without breaking it so people new to Kenshi can still experience Kenshi mostly how it was meant to be experienced.
Some things don’t make sense to me though and I’d like to fix those things. One of which really upset me and thus is a big part on why I’m making this mod.
Explained below but there are spoilers.

I don’t know. It’s going to branch out a few ways.
 
Best way to enjoy this mod with what is implemented thus farwithout spoiling
the story:
Go to Tinfist and do the Ashlands dialog. Follow the instructions. If I suck at dialog or my instructions are unclear then I'll make a guide with pictures or something.
 
Eventually after I get step 1 completed: Let Beep die incombat. Tell The Wandering Wastelander about Beep’s death. Visit south side of map. Tell them that you’re not a shipment – or do. These things have a ~4 day memory span so as long as you don’t kill the faction leaders, Beet and Boop, you should be fine. Find Beet and Boop. Help Beet bring his faction together. Convince Beet to join your faction and Boop will take over as king. If you want this faction to die off then you can also convince Boop to join your faction and then talk to the West Hive Diplomat at the new Ashlands city. You can convince him to take the southern hive if you’d like. Maybe you can also kill every town off and have them spread throughout the wasteland if you want that for some reason. Haven’t decided yet.
 
Other things you’ll hopefully be able to do eventually in step 1: Take Beet to the Western Hive Queen and have him talk to her. Beet will have a mental breakdown and will separate from your faction. You can find him again in the new Ashlands town.
 
Rough story/plan thus far. MOD SPOILERS. I have more plans but this is what I’m going to finish first and afterward I’ll consider this work completed in case I lose interest. (spoilers) Step 1 WILL be completed. Even if I lose interest I’m going to finish step 1. Later steps, though, are arguable though at this point in time I don’t plan to implement those.:

The Wastelanders and its faction leader Calamitus. Wondering Wastelander is the faction No.2 and wanders the wasteland both trading and gathering information to share with Wastelandia 614. Wastelanders faction will maybe be able to take over the wasteland if you ask them to – going to have a series of questions it will ask you so you can tell it what exactly youd like them to do if possible. Unsure though. I feel like I’d like a Wastelander wasteland but then it’s like – what do you do? No conflict left to solve and they sell endgame items.. I don’t know. Maybe I’ll have them just take the UC in its time of need. I mean the
Shek take the holy nation (for now, plans on that way below) so you’re fine there.
 
Tinfist, armor king, and cat lon know of Calamitus and the wastelanders. They’re about it. Other than those three there will only be legends of the wastelanders talked about in bars as if they’re a myth. Will change eventually if they take over the UC though. If you’ve been to Wastelandia (if I allow it) then there will be some wastelander dialogue I think. Otherelse this brings us to the Cat-Lon storyline. Cat-Lon storyline: Take catlon to tinfist and tinfist will reason with catlon. Player has a choice that could later affect the world state. catlon becomes reasonable or he dies fighting – depends upon how the player treats the conversation.
 
Tinfist and catlon talk about a legend of old and the player can convince tinfist and catlon to look in to it rather than fall out and end in bloodshed. They then travel to wastelandia which should now be enterable if it isn’t already. I might make it impossible to enter until you’re lategame if I can. The things that will be able to be found in Wastelandia will be game-breaking if you experience them early game. I can also leave it open and up to the player – as in avoid it if you want which is probably the best choice. If you want to be op, go to wastelandia. If you don’t, then.. well.. just don’t.
 
They go to an unmarked island on the north west part of the map  and find the demigod narko – shepleads with these three strong warriors to aid her in reclaiming the lands of the holy nation. To do this they need to go to a place where narko feelspower pulsating from its depths – there they find okran. They fight Okran to the death. If I get to the later planned steps in this mod then you may have to replay Kenshi to get the item I haven’t implemented yet. Or maybe I can put a chest somewhere with the items so you don’t have to replay junk. I’ll try to add extra dialogue though so it’s not just the same thing every time if you
decide to replay. Maybe you HAVE to restart with mods that change the map though, so I don’t know. It probably doesn’t matter if that’s the case.
 
Narko is weak now thus she needs the help the warriors whojourneyed with her to defeat okran and bring justice to this world
 
Learning of okrans existence, if alive the holy nation rushto his aid only to find him defeated and so they attack narko and her warriors. War with the holy nation begins if they’re alive. First step is to go to Narko’s Trap and reclaim it for Narko so that she can work on the only reason Tinfist and Cat-Lon embarked together in the first place. Cat-Lon has lived with his wrongs for far too long and they drove him mad. He’s ready to change and wishes to salvage what is left of not only his faction but his race.
 
Narko returns to her trap once more and more skeletonsappear in the world forrecruitment and junk Depending on how strong you are I expect Tinfist and Cat-Lon to do a decent portion of the battle. Might just assume the player is level ~50-60 at this point though and not make Okran stupid OP. Or I can make him OP and you can just bring more guys. I don’t know. War will start with the holy nation. Narko will send skeleton brigades out at the holy nationcities until she captures them. Player will need to help because I don’t want to force you guys to miss out on the flotsam stuff. Maybe she’ll create some brigades and then they’ll just fight in the wasteland but the player will have to kidnap/kill the important guys. I plan for flotsam to still take over bad teeth or whatever it’s called.
 
Beep story line:
Peeb – the deformed beep clone
Beet – the defective “deformed” beep clone king. He’s actuallyBeep. We’ll get to that in a moment. He’s deformed in Peeb’s perspective because he’s not a deadhive – so the peebs think they’re normal and that Beet is the deformed one.
Boop – brother of Beep and Bop. Deadhive prince. If beep dies then you alert the Wandering Wastelander whomtries to clone a new beep with the help of The Wastelanders because he misses him – it fails (likely because they used the DNA of the WW and Boop with peeb being the result possibly because boop is similar to beep, except dumb, and the WW is smart. They’re also both deadhive, so, I mean, a deadhive popped out.  If the wandering wastelander dies then peebis also created but then just released into the world. Player has no part in it and Boop is the leader. This is extra though and is a fork in the story. I’d like multiple results. Main story which will have the most work is beep dying then the WW cloning Beep. If Beep dies the WW will stop travelling and will be found in the Wastelandia throne room. Peeb overruns the labs and escape then starts attacking  areas near the ashlands until they take anarea over. One of the peebs, boop whom isn’t actually a peeb but thinks hes a peeb, is defective (mentally like beep) so he strays from the pack. Two factions form – the peeb faction lead by boop who thinks hes a peeb and the beet faction. The south hive is a warzone – you can offer Beet assistance to claim the throne. Run back and forth negotiating and Boop will join Beet. As a thanks Beet decides to remove his mask to thank you personally. Turns out he was beep all along but was hit on the head and now has amnesia and thinks his name is beet. You can recruit him. If you recruit him then boop will take the throne. Boop, like bop, is a fogman. You can recruit Boop too and then let the peeb faction die out. You can take Beet to the western hive to talk to the hive queen who will cause him to have a mental breakdown and he will separate from your group and run into the wastes. A few days later you can find a mentally fixed beep in wastelandia with some new dialogue. Might also make the WW recruitable and recruitment would result in some funny dialogue between the 3 if they’re all in a squad together. Otherelse I’ll still have dialogue between the 3

Factions:
Many new factions and some new towns planned but I don’tknow if I’ll ever get to them all. Below are factions that I will implement Rebuild the hub and, if you want, help the holy outlaws of the hub overtake the holy faction.
More cannibal factions
Deadcat retakes cannibal city if you kill the factionleaders.
Evil Goat Warlords – a faction of goats who roam the wastesfucking bitches up.
They also have random spawning villages you can kill to
stop them from roaming the wastes. Their leader is a goat named “Leviathan
Slayer”.. whom is actually incredibly weak but he claims he’s solo killed a
leviathan. All of the goats believe him and decide to follow him like the sheep
that they are. I know they’re not sheep but if possible the leader will be
Leviathan Slayer and his followers will be actual sheep. I hope to make
leviathan slayer recruitable which will kill the sheep because they’ll have no
one to follow.
Happy goat traders – goats that go village to villagetrading with dudes. I find
this amusing so I’mma add it but if I do step 2 then
they’ll merge with the secret goat village.
If possible: I want a faction sort of like the skin banditsexcept what these
guys do is take you to their local “scientist” skeleton who
fixes you, the defective being. He takes the skin only from your limbs then
outfits you with bad prosthetics and then puts a skeleton mask on you before
finally throwing a CPU in your pocket/inventory. If you already have
prosthetics they won’t attack you but will search your inventory and if you
have no cpu in your inventory then they will attack you to take you to the lab
for a cpu insertion. The scientist puts a cpu in your inventory and then sets
you
free before proclaiming how lucky you were to have stumbled upon their city
before your body stopped working due to lack of a cpu. If you have a cpu then
they let you go into the city.
Black Gorillo Gangsters: It’s a racial stereotype joke.Hopefully people find it
funny. They’ll worship a great black gorillo and talk
in a generic black thug stereotype fashion. The player can either kill them or
the opposing faction, the White Gorillo 
The Great White One Percenters: They speak in a posh manner.
The Genocidal Geniuses: These guys are a joke about howatheism is largely
portrayed to be today. These guys will war with every nation
that believes in anything. They walk around talking about how high their IQ is
because they don’t believe in a deity
 
Lambs ofAbraham: From Jerusalem. Faction leader is Jehova.  They travel
town to town trading items. Theyhave a lot of strong opinions about
Jesus. They coexist with a faction of women named The Salem Seven. They
heardabout a grand wizard and assumed he’d be in Salem – so they were looking
for
Salem but only found JeruSALEM. If you choose to tell them where the grand
wizard lives (if you have the town discovered) they will go there. If possible
the Grand Wizard will have turned them into his harem except their limbs have
been swapped with basic prosthetics. They’ll attack the player on sight and
start cursing the player for sending them to the capital – where they have been
delimbed and used for disgusting purposes. If the grand wizard is dead then you
can only tell them that he’s dead to which they reply mourning his death. If
you ask why they’d like to go to a cannibal city they will begin attacking you
for badmouthing the greatest magical entity in the land. If you get away from
them without killing them  then they willeventually end up at the Cannibal
Capital and will apologize to you on sight
and offer help if you’re here to kill the wizard. A final option is to give
them Wastelandia’s location as the location of the wizard’ They’ll be found in
Calamitus’ throne room where they’ll thank you for your help.
Dorothy,Toto, Tin Man, Lion Man, Straw Man: She’ll be wandering the wastes. If
she
happens to spot you then she’ll talk to you and then you can either send them
to Wastelandia or the cannibal capital (if the wizard is alive). She’ll tell
you that she’s looking for the wonderful wizard of capital city. If you send
them to wastelandia then you’ll later have the option to help them. If you send
them to the cannibal capital they’ll all join the wizards harem and will attack
you on sight. Depending on how far I get how you help them will change. You’ll
see this later on but I’m going to explain it here. You won’t know what I’m
talking about, though, for quite a while. I’d like there to be the option to
forego giving the hearts to Anubis and and instead give the hearts to 3
following Dorothy. You give Anubis’ decree to toto who then learns English by
using the power of Anubis’ decree and finally, because you don’t need it
anymore, you give Tut’s request to Dorothy. Anubis uses his powers to change
what Tut’s request says and then Dorothy tells you that the letter tells you to
go visit Anubis and that he [Anubis] will reward you with something far greater
than power. I’m going to keep what this is a secret to give any of you readers
a reason to actually play the mod but I have the idea written down and rearing
to go – if I ever get that far.
Narko’sChosen: A faction of recruitable skeletons who believe themselves to be
Narko’s
chosen. Now, I’m not a dev or anything but the reason a lot of my ideas are the
way that they are is because I think the creators of Kenshi hid a lot of jokes
in the game. I believe Okran to be a representation of religion in the previous
centuries and religion in the previous centuries often condemned science. I
believe Narko to be the opposite of Okran in that Okran is following an idea
without proof while Narko is the reverse in which you follow proof without
knowing the idea. It’s a lot like how a lot of the planet’s populace works
today. I’m probably looking too deep into it but that’s my interpretation.
Narko is Okran backwards. I believe Narko to be a female scientist while Okran
was a stupid male – which are both also opposites. Part of humanity followed
the stupidity of okran and part of humanity followed the genius of narko. Okran
probably largely won out in the end, but Narko hasn’t faded from the
world. 
 
Lore pertaining to the new factions as well as, hopefully,new dialogue/options
for the factions already in the game. I’m going to finish
all of the above which dialogue for the new factions BEFORE I go out of my way
to start adding lore to the default factions though.
 
Travelling Gifter: Randomly find him roaming the wasteland.Talk to him for a
gift. Gift increases every time you find him.
 
Might do.
Everything above this line of text is to be considered willdo. Everything below
is might do and I’ll decide on it when the time comes. I’m
going to set forth plans but I might never complete these plans. I will give
all of my effort to complete step 1, or rather all of the above, though. I just
like to plan things out.
 
First, depending on what how this stuff goes I’d like toexpand faction lore and
options and junk. That will be done in bits and pieces
outside of the steps though. This mod is probably going to take a ton of work.
I’ve already put a lot of time into it and I’m just releasing the first release
now. I’ve worked on it for like ~30+ hours thus far though and am not even that
deep into the mod.. yet I have so much planned. So much dialogue and story to
write then implement. So much work ahead but as I learn how the modding system
and modding tools work my speed should increase and hopefully I can get through
this stuff.
 
Jedi and sith: I feel they fit quite well In the Kenshiuniverse.
Church of Trek: Star trek church.
Scientologists: Led by Thomas Cruise the 192nd
 
 
Step 2: The Secret Land of the Goats – A goat village at warwith with the
butcher faction. You can help either faction if you’d like. The
goats just want to be left alone so that they can be free and graze upon the
wastelands revitalizing it with their goat shit. If I can then siding with the
goats, over time, will cause the wasteland to become a bit more green and less
barren.
Butcher faction – Warring with the goats and cannibals. Theyswear to provide
food for the entire wasteland by enslaving the goat faction so
they can breed them and provide meat for cheap to the factions around the
wastes. They’re not hurting anything, right? They’re just slaughtering some
goats. They also hate cannibals and believe that Wastelanders should only
consume healthy nonhuman meat. Siding with them will ensure that most of the
wasteland has a steady supply of food. Plan is for slaves to be a bit less
hungry on average as well. Most starving factions die out but this means that
more cannibals will be roaming the wastes as well. Imagine well feed cannibals
everywhere. Everywhere. Some places, like Ark, may even be enslaved to provide
food for the cannibals. If the player influences the game in a way in which Ark
becomes a cannibal food breeding ground then cannibals will be less likely to
attack people in the wastelands beause they’ll be receiving food shipments from
Ark. If this is done then the Peeb faction will also have plenty of food.
Butcher faction will hopefully be able to expand into and take over the
cannibal territory Friendly with everyone except non enslaved animals and
cannibals. Non slaving faction but isn’t going to go out of their way to end
slavery but through negotiations between the butchers and slavers the slavers
slaves won’t be as hungry as they were with the the goats not enslaved.
Cannibal traders will trade “suspicious meat” to villages.
New items if I stop this portion at this point: Suspiciousmeat
 
It might be cool to have a single city with a berlin wallseparating the two
sides with an extra option of convincing the butchers to
become vegan. They think they’re all schizophrenic and hearing things because
they don’t think that goats can talk. They just need you to come in and tell
them that they’re sentient beings because they’re really not bad guys. If the
player chooses this third option then the goats and butcher faction will work
together to supply the wasteland with tofu.
New item: Tofu and tofu sticks.
 
Step 3: 
Friendly and sociable fishman coastal villages whom are atwar with the whaling
faction. New food: as well, Sushi. Sushi will be available
in coastal regions, if I manage to do that which would be a lot of
customization
on towns and world states I think, then the player will learn that if he/she
has been eating sushi then he/she has actually been eating fishmen. Upon
learning this you can talk to the fish king and tell him about the monstrosity
that you’ve committed but he will label you a demon and attack. Permanent waves
of fishmen will be sent to your base. You’ll be able to turn the bodies of
these fishmen into sushi hopefully if you get the recipe for the sushi machine
from the whalers. Whaling faction hates cannibals because they believe people
should eat fresh fish. They get along with farmers, butchers, etc though.
Pretty much everyone except cannibals.

Whaling faction
 
Step 4: 
The Knights of Solomon: Faction leader is Solomon but thereal main guy will be
Jesus. If it’s not possible for me to make Solomon the
king with jesus as the most important guy then Jesus will be the #2. He doesn’t
want anything to do with the throne and just wants to improve the lives of his
people but if you kill Solomon he will take responsibility. Solomon sends
platoons of knights to the holy nation whom are labelled heretics. Holy nation
also sends platoons of holy dudes to “The City of God” where The Knights of
Solomon are living. Whenever Jesus spots you he will give you a fish,
suspicious bread, and suspicious wine. If possible, cannibals will pay high for
suspicious bread and wine. He will also bless you. You can also ask him for his
heart and he will just give it to you if you claim that you’re in need. I’ll
add more to that a bit later on. You can convince Jesus to roam the
wastelands  which will kill the knightsof Solomon If Solomon is dead.
New armors of course because, you know, they’re knights. Canget armor
recipe/research from the Royal Smithy. Special weapon created by Calamitus: Excalibur.
Plan is if Calamitus is alive you can take the legendarythree weapons Calamitus
created to him which are: Kusanagi, Beep’s Wrath,
and Excalubur, then he will create you a new weapon out of the three legendary
weapons. The reason that more weapons of this quality don’t exist is because
the quality of metal used in these weapons isn’t possible to make anymore. The
new weapon will be called: Tut’s Khopesh which is a nod to the Egyption King,
King Tut – whom is head of Egyption faction and has the final items needed by
Calamitus to create Tut’s Khopesh: The Decree of Anubis and Tut’s Request.
New items:
Khopesh – Egyption faction weapon. Piercing weapon thatcompletely decimates
armor. Low damage with high bleed and ignores 60-80% of
armor.
Decree of Anubis – Written in a language no one can seem tounderstand but it is
believed to be an item of great power.
Tut’s request - Received in exchange for completing a questfor Tut. Worth 100k.
It’s a request for Calamitus to create a weapon that
he’s heard might some day be manufactured in Tut’s honor. This request is in
exchange for Tut giving up the Decree of Anubis and the letter is given because
he knows that someday the decree will make its way to Calamitus and he will
use its
power to create a weapon of unimaginable quality and power. Weapon quality is
Omega. Another smaller weapon will also be made by the extra material of the
blades and its weapon quality will be Alpha and it will be named Anubis’
Polestaff. Calamitus will have a plan for a new weapon but some things will
have to
be done in the game before this conversation tree becomes available. One of
which will be finding Anubis – whom will be in a location never mentioned in
the game. If you go to Anubis and present him with Tut’s Khopesh and Anubis’
Polestaff. Anubis is the only true god of the world and in exchange for Tut’s
Khopesh, Anubis Polesttaff, and the Demigod Hearts (The Heart of Okran, The
Heart of Narko, and The Heart of Jesus) he will create the most powerful weapon
in the game as well as a belt slot item: The Scythe of Anubis and The Scale of
Anubis.
Polestaff of Anubis- Third strongest weapon in the game.Alpha quality. Means
beginning in reference to Christian theology.
Tut’s Khopesh- Second strongest weapon in the game.
The Scythe of Anubis: Unsure whether I like this name. Willbe Alpha and Omega
quality and will be forged by Anubis. Strongest weapon in
the game. It might be fun to get this item once but it’s going to take any and
all fun out of the game if the prior OP weapons didn’t. It’s just too strong.
Will be super heavy (because you’re holding the entire weight of God’s wrath
which Anubis will tell you when he gives you the weapon. “Behold my wrath,
/RACENAME/. May you offer mercy to those you judge.. for a day will come when
you too must be judged.”)
 
I plan on later stuff with Anubis and maybe even giving youthe option to kill
him as an ultimate boss but he’s going to be absolutely
ridiculous to attempt to kill. I think his dog head will be a helm you can
obtain
if you do manage to kill him but I don’t know if it will be possible or maybe
you can convince him to give you his helm. Helm would also be mega endgame
though. Probably best to throw the weapons and stuff on the final lines of your
base defense system.
Step 6: 
These are going to have jokes too but I’m not going to gointo it at this time
Caesar’s Legion: He’s surrounded by his senators, Gaius
CassiusLonginus, Decimus Junius Brutus Albinus, and Marcus Junius Brutus.
When the player stepsinto the throne room they turn on Caesar and kill him or
throw him out of town.
He then travels to Brink to either live there or be enslaved by pirates along
the way.
 
Beyond:
I’d like to make it possible to bring most/some of wastelandinto the modern age
of automation and junk. I plan to add some things like
solar panels probably but they’re relatively unneeded I suppose. I don’t know.
 
Some notes: There will be 4 “endings” to the mod.
Branch 1: You give Anubis the 5 items he needs to forge thesuper weapon.
Ending 1:You get anubis’ scythe and scale.
Branch 2: You help Dorothy and her 4 friends. 
Anubis: 
Ending 2 | Anubis scale positive: You get nothing. This isthe boring ending.
You don’t need anything.
Anubis text for ending 2: Hmm. I suppose that’s an okay choice.An adventurers
ending? Well, I can’t say I would have done the same but this is
your world. I’ll be leaving now, but I hope you enjoy the rest of your stay.
Ending 3 | Anubis scale ignored: You get nothing. This isthe intended ending.
Anubis text for ending 3: That’s a fine choice,/PLAYERNAME/. I commend you for
this choice. You truly understand this world.
You understand that there are no heroes.. no chosen.. and honestly.. there are
no gods. That’s right. I’m just a human, like you. Well, you’re a /RACENAME/..
but I’m sure you understand. This is your world and your world is what you make
it. This is Kenshi.. enjoy your stay, /PLAYERNAME/.. Enjoy your stay.

fate. I’ve a prize
for you.. I’ll give it to you before I go. Anyway.. You’ve survived cannibals,
bandits, slavers, beasts, and more along your grueling struggle.. but that’s
what this is. There are no chosen. You’re not born great nor powerful. You
don’t have more hitpoints than everyone else.. and you’re not the center of the
universe. You’re not special.. unless you work for it. That’s life. That’s this
world. That’s your world. That’s Kenshi. Enjoy your stay.
