Man, you are the bomb. Call me a sadistic bastard but this is a must for Kenshi players. There is nothing like taking out a noble in the night and pulling the hearts out of the guards while they are sleeping! Or better yet, knocking out an Elite (UWE mod) and ripping out his heart! Now just to add a little pudding, I made my first mod because of this one. I made a little recipe to find something worthwhile to do with all this extra exotic meat!! Muwhahahahaha! Cooked Meat
Are NPC's able to loot this? If they are, then slavers might accidentally kill NPC's they're enslaving by being a bit too enthusiastic in their looting.
So far, I haven't noticed slavers looting these items (I think it's because they aren't food items, slavers seem to like taking food). But I'll do some more testing to make sure.
You're right. I've done some more testing and Slavers do sometimes take the heart (which instantly kills the victim). I'm not sure how to stop this, so I think I might have to add a warning to the mod description. Thanks for bringing this to my attention.
Hello, I used a mod similar to this one and it was working like that too, with slaver killing people. So I learned how to mod this and tested multiple function used by the guard. The evil one was Slave watching/stripping, i changed the enum with multiple thing and it ended working on NEW_SLAVE_PROCESSING. They put shackle back on caged prisonner but don't take their inventory
this is kinda like necro-posting at this point, but I managed to understand what Kalims did and meant. Basically I changed the enum in the "slave watching/stripping" AI goal to "NEW_SLAVE_PROCESSING". The result of this small modification is that slavers will capture downed npcs, loot their weapons but nothing else, shackle them and put them in cages. So npc's are no longer killed upon enslaving despite having kill items in inventory. The downside is that they will keep their inventory and armor upon being enslaved. I'd like to know to this too. I tried importing my game and some characters have the heart, but I already found a dust bandit within 10 min of play that didn't have one, so I'm guessing there's more who don't. I'm wondering if it's because I have to start a new game? Really wish mod authors would include that in the mod description for this game. A lot of people don't even know what the import button does I noticed, and those who do still would like to know if you need to start a new game, which I think you do for certain mods.
So after playing with this extensively, it is super nice to have mainly when defending my base. Once the battle is over I'm able to simply kill them off and thats that. Without the mod I'd have them waking up one by one and drawing my army into combat and away from their workstations, so this is definitely preferred.
However, that was my playthrough in the border zone, now I'm in a new game in the great desert. There are so many slavers, and around 70-90% of everyone in the cages are dead. If someone spawns in as a slave they're fine, but if an unconscious person is taken and stripped they just die instantly. Also the slavers have a chest full of hearts that they have torn from their unfortunate slaves lol.
Would there be a way to kill everything without having to loot them? Fighting a group of 25+ and forgetting to loot the boss in the middle of the fight so he stand up and wipe my group is always a pain haha :P
Uhh just so you know. Don't toss out the heart while your person is unconscious/recovering. They still die when that happens. (Learned that the hard way when it said one of my guys were butchered)
