Mod Races
(each race has colour/textures & skill bonus variations, see screenshots)
  • Cat (Default) - New Textures 5-22-25 - It is often theorised that the felines originated in communal tribes in the Dreg region, though the details still remain a mystery. Frequently regarded with disdain and overlooked by other races. Their inherent curiosity is tempered by caution, rendering them wary of technological advancements & outsiders (which thus far has contributed to their continued survival & existence). Nonetheless, their agility and stealth make them exceptional hunters or scouts. There are whispers of a dark past when they were feared as human predators with a penchant for human flesh. Over centuries, the cat tribes evolved into a somewhat more civilised society, albeit maintaining their secrecy. While many preserve their ancestral ways, others have assimilated into human society, residing in urban areas with no knowledge of their heritage.
  • Cat (Moggie) -
  • Cat (Balinese) -
  • Cat (Calico) - New Textures 5-21-25
  • Cat (Orange) - New 5-20-25
  • Cat (Forest) - New 5-21-25
  • Mouse - Rodents are humanoid creatures, small in stature with pointed snouts and rounded ears. They are relatively common on the fringes of society within any settlement. However, due to severe prejudices/superstitions, they are often driven to the streets or subjected to worse fates, such as culling to reduce their numbers when populations grow too rapidly. The origins of the Rodent race remain unknown, though it is long thought that primitive Rodents may have originated in Dreg. However, these primitive ancestors have since vanished from the region (likely hunted to extinction.) Sadly, much of their history is lost to time.
  • Fox (Default) - WIP
  • Fox (Fennec Based) - WIP
  • Toad Goblin - Toad Goblins are small child sized humanoids with warty toad-like skin in shades of green & brown. Originally sea farers & swamp-dwellers, they were historically marauders who built muddy villages in the swamplands & thrived raiding the shores & coastlines. Goblin populations were never large, but still remain a rarity who managed to integrate "somewhat" into normal civilization. Goblins are remarkable swimmers & have voracious appetites (Careful: goblins can consume almost anything organic & will) which is essential for fueling their remarkable regenerative abilities (1.5 compared to 1.1 for scorchlanders & 1.0  for humans).

Game Start

  • Cat Tribal Start - start in "Cat Village" with x3 cat tribe members, all standard or high grade  tribal gear (Hood,Chest/legplates/footwraps) & a new weapon "Curved Dagger" (leader gets a edgewalker, other 2 get catun scrapmaster grade). (stats are around 10).
  • Lone Samurai Cat - Lone cat start, malnourished in the great desert w/ full (high or specialized quality) ancient samurai gear, hunters pack, catun quality katana & sake. (stats around 20)
  • Lone Death Monk (Rodent) - Lone Rodent start, malnourished monk Great Desert start (You search the desert sands for new & worthy mice acolytes to serve in your order and spread the ancient teachings & wisdom.)(Begin with full set "Death Monk" gear (specialized or masterwork quality), Iron Hat, Wooden Sandals hunters pouch,  x1 sake, 3 standard first aid kit.) (Mouse start only 35ish stats)
  • Desert Fox (Fox) [Unfinished] - Fox WIP start (Start with desert sabre, new clothing & fox goggles). Some new items that are unfinished & unsure if im gonna go that route with foxes, sort of a preview of the eventual fox stuff. Use at your own risk, the new fox items might just end up vanishing or getting erased or reworked into something else, testing new item meshes. Will probably remain WIP for a while.
  • Red Cap (Goblin) [Unfinished] - Goblin WIP start (new equipment, unfinished, will be wip for a while) Just a preview of future stuff, items are almost done, Use at own risk, items might just end up vanishing or getting erased or reworked into something else, testing new item meshes. Again, will probably remain WIP for a while.

Weapons Armour & Equipment
- Special Gear Vender: In Cat Village located in Dreg (nearly all cat rodent fox etc specific gear can be found there. Certain race specific gear can rarely be found in shops like Mongrel or the United Cities.
- Hunter Pouches: (12x10 square) unique backpack sold in Cat Village similar stats to a thieves backpack (cheaper, 50% weight reduction slightly less storage)

Belt Items
- Goggles and gas masks exist for each race, items give 100% Dust/Gas protection depending, +4 Perception(offer no coverage/protection, only dust/gas resistance) Found in Headgear shops & rarely adventure shops (holy nation excluded).

Tribe/Village
- Cat Village - Located in Dreg, where you can buy feline specific gear. Tribal specific faction, equipment, dialogue & recruitables (bar recruits).
- World States - Not much benefit, the chieftains carry cross grade weapons & can offer a challenge. You can now basically completely destroy the cat village if you wish to. (wont give details away, though works like the vanilla world states, (If the Cat Chieftain is killed, Nari the Charnel & the Bone Clan Take over the Cat Village.)

Factions Added
- Cat Tribe - A reclusive tribal faction of cats living in Dreg
- Bone Clan - Hostile cannibalistic cat tribe in the Dreg region, some have bounties that can be turned into the cat tribe for faction rep (spawn similar to cannibals, weak but spawn in groups) (maybe future recruitables)
- Sable Monks - A secretive rodent specific cult who dress in black robes & revere death, often found wandering on sombre pilgrimage. Sable Monks seek to spread their teachings of mortality & spreading wisdom to other "lost" mice.
- All races are mostly found in the "Great Desert" region, can be purchased as slaves & will join by most of the default recruitment methods (unlocking shackles, liberating from slave camps etc, this is just the best way to make them recruitable without generating a bunch of bloat in the game).

- Can rarely be found in various appropriate default factions. (mods like "Recruitable Prisoners" should work if they are part of those default factions.

Optional Patch

"All in One" Animations Patch

All custom races require animation patches when using animation mods. You can also make your own patches by moving all the mods (custom race mod +all the animation mods you want added to the race) to you kenshi mod folder. Then create a separate patch file with all the mods as a dependency, then add the animation files to each race in the "race" tab in fcs
