If you don't have the game on steam, downloading workshop mods isn't as simple as using nexus.
There used to be easier ways to download workshop mods through websites, but sadly Valve recently killed most of them, and those that survive often only propose cached, out-of-date versions of the mods.
Fortunately, there is a solution for Kenshi mods : SteamCMD !
Follow THIS LINK FOR OFFICIAL STEAMCMD INSTRUCTIONS
It's not really as hard as it seems if you're on windows !
Follow THIS LINK TO DOWNLOAD, extract it in a new folder where you want to install it, for exemple "C:\steamcmd", and then do this:
Open a Command Prompt and start SteamCMD by entering the followingcd C:\steamcmdsteamcmdthen enter the following to loginlogin anonymousand finally, enter the following to download the modworkshop_download_item 233860 2457830380
That should download the OG mod in
C:\steamcmd\steamapps\workshop\content\233860\2457830380
There you have it ! Just rename the 2457830380 folder to "Hive Cybernetics"
and cut/paste it in your "Kenshi/mods" folder, as usual.
You can download any Kenshi workshop mod with this if you replace "2457830380"
in the command with the steam mod id, which is the last part of the
address on a steam workshop page.
If you're not on Windows, well... Good luck, you probably now better than me what to do.
