Many mods are included with Odyssey. See our list of contributors. If they're included, you don't need to include them. It's usually best to start with a clean slate, and then add mods you think are missing.
Other mods you don't need to include are:
- SCARaw's particle fix
That fix was developed in Odyssey, and provided to SCAR to test and do an early distribution of. It is unnecessary here as the fix is included and set up to work as part of the mod.
- Any mods that change the night sky
Odyssey has its own night sky.
- Any mods that change squad size
Odyssey has its own squad size limits and is meant to be played with a squad size closer to vanilla.
- Any mods that fix vanilla meshes
They're likely included, as this is a rollup of various bug fixes discovered by the community over the last few years. This includes mods that fix building errors, or re-enable old buildings from previous versions of Kenshi.
This mod is not compatible with the following Total World Overhauls and should not be used alongside them.
- Project Genesis
- Reactive World
- Kaizo
- Realpolitik
- Lost in the Ashlands
- Living World
This mod is not compatible with nudity mods
Odyssey has its own version of nudity mods that do not give you naked kids. If you want naked kids, please play another mod. It's sad we have to say this, but we received alot of flack for removing rape jokes from a child mod in this game a while back. I'm not joking. People were legitimately mad about removing rape references from a mod featuring kids. Yeah, we know its fictional. That's not the point. The point is kids and rape don't belong in the same sentence. Two things we're not going to support, even in a post apocalyptic fictional wasteland, are pedophilia and rape. If you support that shit you can take your toxic ass and fuck right off. Thanks.
This mod is not compatible with any difficulty enhancing mods
This includes Hazardous Weather, or mods that change spawn frequencies, economics, or AI. Odyssey features a fully functional, extended AI and economic back end. It also features its own weather system. These mods will actually nerf Odyssey, and in some cases will actually break the particle effects completely. Don't use them.
This mod is not compatible with Interactive World
It includes it, and expands on it. You do not need this mod. Send Stupendous Man a thank you for his work, though.
This mod is not compatible with Recruitable Prisoners
We disabled that. Our prisoners are recruitable, but you'll have to work a bit harder.
This mod is not compatible with Tame Beasties
We disabled that. We have our own taming system. It's much more in depth.
This mod is not compatible with Drugs Expanded
We have our own drug system. It's more in depth. Drugs Expanded will duplicate content and nerf the game.
This mod is compatible with most, if not all UI mods
Feel free to use your favorite UI. We're not gonna judge you for it.
This mod is compatible with most, if not all, armor and weapon mods
They will not however be balanced to work with Odyssey. If you place them before Odyssey in the load order weapons and armor that we have adjusted will be automatically taken care of, though. Just in case you can't be bothered checking our contributor list. :-)
We did not include Gusoku, Impaler, Swamp Armor, or alot of other custom sets. So you're probably safe to add those in if you want.
You probably won't need any crop mods with Odyssey
We have our own extensive crops, with nearly a dozen new crops, including new meshes and textures.
You probably wont need any food mods with Odyssey
We have a pretty extensive selection of new foods, with over 40 new foods, including new meshes and textures.
You may use creature mods, but they may not all be compatible.
We added in alot of custom animations for base creatures and expanded upon the beastiary significantly. Mods that add creatures might not work.
