Odyssey requires dependent mods in order to function. Additionally, there are addon packs that work with Odyssey. Knowing where to place mods in the load order will ensure things function properly.
I'll keep this short and sweet. There's no need to do an analysis, it's already been done.
Here is a screenshot of proper mod load order to play Odyssey
Theory
Some people want to know why things are set up the way they are. I'm not going to get too detailed. To me that's pretty pedantic, and there are other guides that can beat this horse to death. I'll give you a quick rundown, though. The theory behind this is simple:
1) Things that change how the base game functions go into Group 1
These are things like UI, graphical overhauls, weather changes, and new furniture and items. I'm not gonna get into things more than that. The larger the change, the higher in the load order it should go. I tend to put UI overhauls first, then weather, then furniture, then armor, then weapons, and so on and so forth.
2) Things that change characters or factions go into Group 2
I try to keep related items together here, but in general if it adds a new character or faction I'll plop it down in this group. This can sometimes bleed into the next group. For Odyssey, our dependencies also are included in this group. So you will place Holy Nation Redux, Hives Expanded, and Cannibals Expanded here. The particular order of them makes no difference.
3) Things that change dialogue go into Group 3
This includes entertaining mod packs like Baka Things, Dawnguard, or any dialogue packs you want to use. This also includes things like Lost in the Ashlands. These are not heavy changes and are usually simply database add-ins, with the exception of Ashlands. This seems to do a bit more. It is incompatible with Odyssey.
4) World overhauls go into Group 4
Really you should only use one overhaul at a time. Don't stack them. It's a bad idea. You're going to get a whole lot of conflicts. Overhauls touch too many items in the game world.
5) Anything that changes the overhaul go into Group 5
These are usually made specifically for the overhaul, and overwrite changes it makes with something else. Case in point would be if you wanted to change the Odyssey map. That mod would go here.
6) SCARaw's Pathfinding Fix is the only member of Group 6
SCARaw's pathfinding fix always goes second to last. Always. This changers how all characters and squads behave, so it's important to let it see all the characters and squads you're using.
7) Crash to Desktop Fix is the only member of Group 7
This always goes last. Always. It goes through your mods you use and makes sure there are no hidden conflicts, and tries to resolve them. You need it at the end of your list for this reason.
