We have added another hot fix, up to 0.47.3, which has patched in a few more fixes.
We have just released a bug fix 0.47.2 update to NMM that fixes a few bugs that were introduced with 0.47.0. Here's the changelog:
- New Feature: Better feedback on login issues.
- Bugfix: Add mod from file asking the user to login.
- Bugfix: Download speed messing up after a resume.
- Bugfix: Download from URL button disabled while offline.
- Bugfix: Cancelling a paused download after a program restart didn’t remove partial files.
A few users have reported getting the "Cannot connect to login servers" error even after updating to 0.47.1. We've added a bit more detail to the error so if you tell us what error you're getting now we'll be able to know a bit more about the issue. For most people the issue is your firewall blocking NMM from connecting to the login server.
Each time the NMM executable changes or gets updated your firewall picks up (or should pick up) this change and change its settings/prompt you about it accordingly. I know this happens with ZoneAlarm, for instance. You need to update your firewall accordingly so NMM can use the internet else, obviously, NMM cannot login and use any online services.

Can anyone point me to a guide somewhere in nexus forums or thread that can direct me the how-to upgrade NMM Manually, but preserving the Mod and its lists? For security-related reasons i just refrain myself from upgrading/updating NMM with the autoupdate feature, so i really appreciate it if someone can help me in this matter. anyone?
Edit : Found the Solution. Please ignore this post.
Use the "clockwise-pointing green arrow" icon on the left-hand side to perform this function.
That and the fact after I download the update manually the exe file will NOT open. I double click, open as admin, etc, etc. Very strange. The only way to get around this that I found (and I'm glad I remembered it) was to compress the exe into a zip file quickly. From there I open the zip and then the exe within that. THEN it will open normally and install/update just fine. I don't understand that. I find that very odd as I've never ever had any file do something like this before.
Is it just me or has anyone else had this issue?
EDIT: okay i got it working, i disabled avira then login, then re-enable.
Launch the NMM,
click the red buddy icon on the bottom to login and connect with the site until it turns green,
then click the curved green arrow on the right bar,
and together with the latest version information for all your mods retrieved from the Nexus servers there should be the link to the mod page, back where it always was.
