Tomorrow. It was gonna release today, but testing and taking screens/documenting always takes longer than I expect. It's uploaded, just need to finish writing stuff up in the morning.
Kaio you are amazing seriously!! you are basically doing what frontier should do and improving this game a lot!! the gates and the visibility paths are just what i was expecting, so for me, add visibility to all paths for sure!
I just have one question, the new fences can be broken for the dinos or there are invincible? I would love to use them in different enclosures but without breaking inmersion.
My take on the visibility: It always bothered me in JWE1, that walls had no effect on visibility. If you want to stay alive, concrete walls are great, but they don't have many upsides besides that. I always thought, that the fence types should offer meaningful choices. A tradeoff: Visibility vs Security.
In a perfect world, paths would add visibility and fences would reduce or block it, but that is out of question. How would i change it, if possible?
Option 1: To keep it simple: 2 (maybe 3) paths with different visibility ranges. + Pros: Players can combine fences and visibility paths and balance it themself. - Cons: Limited number of path designs. The player has to do all the work.
Option 2: Add visibility to fences, instead of paths. + Pros: Easy to use and consistent. Player can use these visibility+ fences and can add the pathtypes they prefer.? - Cons: The player can't adjust or balance it (+ can be used to cheat). And the biggest drawback, it creates tons of work for the modder. To copy all the fences (doubling the number of fences in the game), all the balancing + the limits of the UI. Imo, it is unrealistic to ask somebody to do all that work.
Option 3: Unrealistic/Impossible. Combined paths and fences, that offer visibility, but that is not worth exploring.
My 2 cents. Sadly Frontier did not improve the visibility/fence system in JWE2.
I love them ALL! If I had one request for a path, it would be one with the JP:OG path texture, that would make my JP:OG aesthetic complete lol, I really miss this mod https://www.nexusmods.com/jurassicworldevolution/mods/478?tab=description

I think having a huge fence like the one from the indominous rex enclosure from the film would be good
Too
