Chase sequences are now more dynamic. One or more predators can chase down prey, more can join in mid-hunt as the sequence isn't locked in anymore.
All Predators INCLUDING packhunters will now stalk prey when: - prey is sleeping - prey is feeding - prey is preening itself or rolling around - prey is resting - prey is drinking
Packhunters, when initiating a stalking hunt, will only damage the prey once per jump. It's a bug but it balances it out nonetheless.
NEW (10.01.2023):
- Predators don't lock into their prey anymore. A predator can now, at any time, change prey targets based on its distance to other potential prey items. See demo in the media section.
NEW (13.01.2023):
- New prey reaction to pack hunts (by raptors etc): They now have the possibility to continue to run away from the group of hunters even if some are latched on (in vanilla they would immediately stand their ground when jumped). When they no longer have enough stamina to run, they will then resort to fending off the attackers. Chases can last long as hunters now have a harder time latching on mid-run.
