In the early 1990s, Mr. John Hammond undertook an ambitious initiative to populate a vast, swamp-like enclosure near the rear of the park tour with a truly extraordinary creature. The subject of his vision was the fantastical Deinocheirus—a giant ornithomimid whose bizarre appearance and imposing size would captivate visitors.

In the early 1990s, under a veil of utmost confidentiality, Mr. John Hammond embarked on a groundbreaking venture to introduce a massive herbivore with the imposing stature to rival the tyrannosaurus. The Deinocherius was at the center of this ambitious experiment, with Hammond envisioning it as a unique draw for Jurassic Park—a creature that could combine its immense size with an aura of majesty and intimidation.
The fate of this particular Deinocherius specimen, however, remains enigmatic. Records from 1990 to 1993 are sparse, leaving the details of its development and testing shrouded in secrecy within InGen’s classified archives. There are secondhand reports the animal was highly territorial towards humans but these reports could not be verified.
