Poseidonasaurus mediterraneus (Poseidon's lizard) is a fictional species of Mosasaurid from the Campanian age of the Cretaceous Period 76 million years ago. What separates this species from other Mosasaurids is that it has slightly longer flippers than most, along with having more powerful night vision unlike the others, allowing it to navigate within the dark depths of the ocean. Although it's not as fast as some of it's other relatives, it's still an excellent ambush predator, able to display a flurry of bioluminescence to trick it's prey into thinking there is a school of fish. And when it finally gets a hold of the prey, it goes into a blacklight mode, disabling it's own bioluminescence to hide itself from potential rivals or predators.
