3/18/22: Version 1.1 should tighten compatability with Update 2 and the Camp Cretaceous Dinosaur Pack. As a bonus, an extended version of the mod that includes many more pairings has been released as well.

4/20/23: Version 1.2 is out after forever - sheesh, about time, right? It now works with the latest update.

After a series of horrible falling-outs between JWE and JWE2, some besties from Jurassic Park: Operation Genesis have finally rekindled their lost appreciation for one another. This means that such classic pairs as Stegosaurus and Kentrosaurus, Torosaurus and Triceratops, and Brachiosaurus and Camarasaurus are now possible again outside of Sandbox Mode.

More seriously: this mod makes it so dinosaurs that were "friends" in JP:OG can live together comfortably again without immediately going at each other's throats. Though there are more factors to dinosaurs being able to coexist completely peacefully than just cohabitation preferences, this mod removes the comfort penalties that come from putting them together.

This comes into play with the fact that JP:OG holdover carnivores have also been given some cohabitation love - they now enjoy the company of their favorite prey items from that game (e.g. Carcharodontosaurus and Spinosaurus like to coexist with - and also ruthlessly hunt - Ouranosaurus). As a bonus, a certain pair of large carnivores from that game can now coexist, insofar as large carnivores in this game can coexist.

Future updates might add more JP:OG-style friendships to dinosaurs that weren't in that game, particularly with species that were left on its cutting room floor.

Installation

To install, either drag/drop or copy/paste the 'JPOGPals' folder to the following directory: 'steam\steamapps\common\Jurassic World
Evolution 2\Win64\ovldata'. Do not rename the folder, do not rename anything in the folder and do not put the folder in any of the folders already inside of ovldata. This is installed like a new species mod, not a replacer. Because this mod is standalone and has such a small scope, it should work fine following any official updates made to the game (as long as they're not massive game-changers like the Dominion ones were).

If you find any serious issues, please do report them; the more descriptive the reports the better, "game crashed please help" isn't something I can work off of.
