The Bajo de la Carpa Formation Pack is a small Modpack adding 6 new dinosaur species from the Bajo de la Carpa Formation, located in Argentina. From the gentle Bonitasaura to the deadly Viavenator, this Formation Pack adds more variety to your South American parks!
• Bonitasaura: Named after the Quarry it was found in, La Bonita, the Bonitasaura is a rather small Titanosaurian Sauropod, the fossil remains found imply Bonitasaura had comb-like teeth similar to those of Nigersaurus;
• Llukalkan: "The one who causes fear" in Mapuche, the Llukalkan is a recent discovery, found in 2021, this medium sized Abelisaur was found to have a keen sense of hearing, comparable to modern day Crocodiles;
• Mahuidacursor: The "Mountain Runner" in Mapuche, this slender bizarre looking Basal Ornithopod lives up to its name, as agile as the fastest predators around, the Mahuidacursor may represent a unique group of endemic Ornithopods in Patagonia;
• Tratayenia: Growing up to 8 meters in length, this predator is currently one of the youngest Megaraptorans known. Tratayenia was the apex predator of this formation, currently being the largest predator in it;
• Velocisaurus: One of the smallest Noasaurs known, the Velocisaurus is closely related to the bizarre Masiakasaurus. Its foot bones show it may have had a unique swift lifestyle, relying on an Omnivorous diet;
• Viavenator: This long legged Abelisaur was closely related to the larger Carnotaurus, relying on quick and agile moves, this predator is an extremely aggressive hunter capable of running long distances to catch its prey;
Located in Northern Patagonia, Argentina, the Bajo de la Carpa Formation dates back to the Santonian age of the Late Cretaceous. Many different kinds of Dinosaurs, Turtles, Crocodylomorphs and other vertebrates were found here, showing a wide diversity of life.
The Formation is a functional Dig Site in Sandbox, with its own Database Entry, compatibility with Research and Expeditions menus, and has its own Misc Fossils based on real finds of the Formation.

It is worth noting that, like many other New Species Mods, Bajo de la Carpa contains certain bugs, none of which directly affect your gameplay! Those would be:

It is worth noting that, like many other New Species Mods, Bajo de la Carpa contains certain bugs, none of which directly affect your gameplay! Those would be:
- All 6 new species lack a unique Icon in their profiles, and instead show a pink square [Database and Hatchery Icons are completely fine however!];
- The Carnivores Llukalkan, Velocisaurus, Viavenator and Tratayenia have off-set animations to hunt Goats, Guests and other Dinosaurs, as their animations are hard-coded;
- DO NOT open the Species Viewer BEFORE trying to incubate a Modded Species, if you want to see them via the Species Viewer, make sure to close the game after you're done;
