Well, what a wait between this and the last couple of new species I added to the game it's been! This game's sequel saw its full support cycle, Dominion came out, there's another movie on the horizon, and the possibilities of modding games using the Cobra Engine have expanded massively. What better time to return to Jurassic World Evolution with a sharpened grasp on working with the tools at my disposal, ignoring the sequel despite it having a markedly larger player base as I write and the threequel that's coming at some point, probably within the next year or so?
This mod adds a new dinosaur to the game: Hypsilophodon, a small ornithischian with a quaint design inspired by 80's and 90's paleoart that the original Jurassic Park movies drew influence from. It should unlock as soon as you reach Isla Tacaño and put down your third Expedition Center in the campaign or hit two stars in Challenge Mode, no research required. Its fossils are found in the Isle of Wight digsite in the United Kingdom.
Provided I feel like it, this will probably be the start of something, I won't say exactly what just yet. - - -
This mod requires the Herbivore Dinosaur Pack to use. To install, either drag/drop or copy/paste the 'NanoNS1Hypsi' folder to the following directory:
'steam\steamapps\common\Jurassic World Evolution\Win64\ovldata'
Do not rename the folder or any of the folders within, and do not put the folder in any of the folders already inside of ovldata. If you get invisible icons and the Hypsilophodon doesn't come out of the hatchery, you either installed the mod wrong or you renamed a folder.
Though this mod has not been tested alongside either of the other Hypsilophodon mods that already exist, it is almost certainly incompatible with them and may crash the game if they are used in tandem with each other.
